Where to buy Rear replacement Struts for the MP3?

Exactly. This isn't rocket science here guys. He wants stock replacement struts? Too bad, I think the "mazda blues" are gonna be close to $250-$300 per corner. Get a full set of Tokico blues and be done with it...

I feel like I'm on the short bus in this thread Ettiene lol...

Maxx....Stock replacement as in Nothing special so not spending upgrades. A stock "Replacement" , in which case an aftermarket would be fine as long as it was a replacement for the stockers coming out.

The longer your on thios board Max, the bigger your head gets and the bigger dick you are. And I mean that 100% seriously....SO please take it that way and please refrain from posting in any further threads of mine if you could as your comments are usually worthless anymore.
Thanks.

TO all others, I am just having a hard time finding places that sell the Blues or another replacement for a decent price. Yes you can buy some of these things anywhere such as protege garage and such , but at a premium price IMO. He dopesnt want to spend anymore than he has to, nor does he want any kind of upgrade. At this point, a functioning strut will be an awesome upgrade.

If someone has part numbers for the Tokico Blues, front and rear, or the KYB, or maybe even a monroe Sensatrac, that would be awesome if you could post them up.

Thanks

Coming from you, I honestly lol'd a bit. I'm seems your getting soft in your old age, It's heartbreaking.

Is there anything actually saying that MP3 struts are valved any different then then ES struts?

Just talked to Jason and the MP3 specific rear struts new from him are $190 per corner. So if he absolutely has to have new and he wants to maintain the stock handling characteristics I'd suggest buying a set of Blues for $380 vs $380 for two OEM struts.

Another option would be to just buy two Blues at $95ea.... I found them at this price @ c r o s s o v e r a u t o dot com

According to Jason at OMP whom I just spoke to there is a big difference between the sport suspension found on the ES/P5 and the MP3/MSP suspensions.

LOL @ Maxx' short bus comment (lol2)

Yes! The MP3 struts are valved to be a perfect match for the stiffer MP3 springs, and are only marginally different from the standard blues (I'd call BS if you could tell the handling difference between one and the other). A stock or KYB strut will be under-dampened for the "Racing Beat" MP3 springs, even if it would be an "upgrade" from a blown shock...

And just to throw more info out there, the MSP springs are a shade stiffer then the MP3 springs, and their matching struts are also valved accordingly. Now as to which one of the two Mazda "blues" sets is closest to the Tokico blues in terms of valving, I have no idea... all I know is that it doesn't really matter seeing as how close they actually are to each other.

I have to agree, the Tokico HP will be your best bet. This is like blowing a turbo on the MSP and wanting to buy ONLY the OEM replacement that costs $1900 for the price of an aftermarket unit. OEM s***'s just expensive, especially for the "special edition" vehicles.

What your failing to understand despite the numerous posts telling you so, is that the tokico blues ARE the closest thing to stock replacement. The mp3's came with different struts than the es models.

Also, don't be worrying about my attitude. Sorry if it's not all rainbows and lolipops but the real world isn't either...

I just want the damn part miners for them or the links.
BTW, I love lollipops.

Well according to the parts manual, the 4 door sedan sport suspension struts (assuming that's MP3) are bl8p28900a and bl8p28700a. But when I put them in they come up as being replaced by a different part number which now corresponds to P5 struts.. so maybe they're not sold by Mazda anymore.

The MPS suspension struts (assuming that's MSP) are bn7h28900a and bn7h28700a.

No s***.
And I don't want factory parts numbers....geez. I can get those from the damn dealer. I want the tokico numbers or the monroe or the KYB.

Maybe you missed it? Maybe it didn't help? Not a part # but the only place I could find to buy them separately. As for Monroes and KYB's I'm not sure if they even make struts valved specifically for the MP3.

Tokico HP's are the closest and cheapest replacement struts forthe MP3... Stop over complicating it, it doesn't get any simpler than that
