When should you get new spark plugs?

How many miles should I replace the spark plugs?
Or just wait unitl they stop working?

I replace mine every 10k with OE, or every 30k with Iridium.

did mine at 30K and they needed it. gap was not off, but they were ditry.....the new ones made a good difference!
