so i bought a set of 18 inch rims and some 225/40/18 tires, well the tires will rub the back wheel well if i hit a bump or sit down in the back seat, so if any one has a stock suspension and 18 inch rims please tell me what size tires you have, or answer this question, if i buy 225/35/18 size tires will they free up enough space or do i need to buy 225/30/18 size tires

215/35/18 is what you would want. a 40 sidewall is too big, and you'll need to roll your fenders if you want a 225 width

If you are rubbing the rear fenders (quarter panel), see previous post.

If the drivers side rear is hitting the black plastic panel inside and behind the tire, pull it back with wire ties.

If the passenger side rear is rubbing behind and to the inside, use a hammer and pound the fender well metal toward the rear until it has enough room for the tire. Look for the rub marks so you know where to pound. I had to do this on my MSP and I have no more rubbing.

My tire size is 215-50-17 (the sides and radius of the tire is .75" (3/4") larger than stock. The tire is 1.50" (1 1/2") taller and wider than stock.

If you are rubbing the strut, it's game over. You will need a smaller tire.

i have to have 225 tires the wheel is 7.5 not 7 my friend says 35 might work instead of 40 and as far as rolling the fenders. im not to knowledgable about cars but all my friend mentioned is it rubs the inside so he suggested a coil over kit

If he's rubbing on the struts, then he would need a spacer, and surely roll the fenders

Coilovers would only really help if you were rubbing on the inside of your wheel wells, but stiffer springs should help just as much. Honestly, they'd be a waste of money vs getting spacers and rolling your fenders.

no idea...just take a mallet and do it yourself...takes time, but not much money ;)
