What's the fastest car you've ever driven ?

87 TII with a ford busch motor V6 fuel injected with NOS(yes N-O-S, not nawz) fogger system... i need to get pics of that motor. 300+ at the flywheel with 200 shot... only tipped the scales at 2500lbs
scary as hell on the back roads with no roll cage.. didn't drive it, only rode in it.
fastest car driven was 96 TA WS-6 got to about 90
have been to 100give or take a few in the pro

I've done 100 in my dad's Miata on prom night. I've done 100 or more (speedo stopped at 85) in my mom's Taurus. I've done 100 pretty much by accident in my '87 RX-7. That car was the fastest I've owned. It wasn't even trying.

I think Lt. Dan's RX-7 is the fastest car I've ever driven, but I only got that up to 60 or so before I had to shut it down, as I was on a busy road in some traffic and I was just getting into 2nd gear!

in a 99 civic si, 144 pretty much every weekend in the summer 5 years ago, i could burn about the whole tank of gas in about 120-150 miles during those night cruises .. with good wind i think it was almost touching 145

p5 just doesnt go, so i hit 100 maybe once a week but dont think ever went more than 115-120

rx8 125 in blink beep blink .. if you know what i mean ... didnt even mean to go fast .. but looked down and there it was 125

I have driven one, a single turbo/juiced 383 stroker, and ridden in a 427TT. The 383 was pretty intense, but the 427 took me to 192mph and then we shut it down.


I have driven/ridden in a lot of very fast cars, hence my fairly objective opinions on what is/isn't "fast".



P.S. uber fast does not always mean fun. A very close friend of mine has a built 4.6L Thunderbird making 700+ rwhp, but it's a big, heavy old man's car. Dexter's nearly stock MSP is more fun to drive/ride along in.

scarest ride,9 sec "street" monte carlo,on a highway,and I have to say,it's not just a 1/4 mile beast,it's just a beast.


I have riden in a lot of cars,and have driven a fair amount too,but one car I want to drive more then anything is the Ariel Atom(on a track)

fastest car i've driven was an 03 cobra with plenty of mods. it has 551whp and 511lbtq. i didn't kill just drove but it accelerated so smooth. now when my buddy took back over the speedo hit 140 easy and there was more room to go.

Drove an Evo 8, 0-80mph as fast as I could (stock). Ridden in it w/ well over 300 HP now, don't know how fast we were going, too worried about the oncoming traffic and the huge hill we were about to go over...Hopefully I'll get to drive it again soon
