What would you do about this?

They must have quoted you the wrong price...

perhaps the cd player and radio are seperate assemblies?

Not even this bad mid 90s hyundai radios are that cheap.

also: factor in that dealership markup is at least 90-100% over cost... if it does come down to that the radio/headunit shorts out because of the liquid, it will not be cheap for the detailer to replace. however, if he is a true professional he should be insured for situations like this.

another edit: it could also be that each component is seperate, and isnt just one giant assembly, which could explain why it seems so cheap to me.

I dont trust detail shops, they wanna make a buck like everyone, but they can easily mess up your stuff.

Burning paint with a buffer, or spraying the dash with vinyl dress, or simple green can mess it up bad. Often times they are in a hurry, they dont spary a cloth first, and then neatly clean.

I'm sorry to see your messed up LCD, especially for what detail shops charge.

I'm more comftorble doing it myself.
