I'm guessing that you drive....????? a P5?, just by your name, correct me if I'm wrong. I think that the exhaust option for a mod is a very good one. Back when I drove my Blue beast, I liked what my exhaust did for me. But, that was also with an intake. You might as well buy them at the same time if you have the money, because they work well with each other. But then, that depends on the exhaust you are putting on. Catback is inexpensive so the intake is good to do with it. But headers back is much more expensive, so the intake might be out of the picture, but still a good idea. The intake/exhaust I had were right from my dealer, because I found the price fair, and there was no question on warrenty. The intake/exhaust from the dealer is nice, it looks good, sounds good, and performs well for the money you pay. Another good idea, again only if you have the means when doing the air flow on the car, is to get the head ported and polished. It really helps the flow through from intake to exhaust and prevents detonation. Basically you run smoother, stronger power, with better fuel efficiency if driving conservatively, and even if going hardcore. Basically to start the engine work on a car, in my opinion, you want to go breathing, stregnth(internals(pistons/rods, cams, etc.), power to the ground(tranny), then go big power, aka forced induction, NOS(not a big fan of this stuff), and other such things. The best part is, while improving the breathing and strength, you add power. Then with the tranny, you put so much more of that power to the ground, and then when you add the big power, you engine is ready and willing to handle it. But that is just my opinion on things, everybodies is different. I think you should shop around for the best bang for buck you can get. Pretty much make yourself happy with what you do.
