A turbo is attatched to a "header" of sorts. Look at a diagram of a turbo setup....In a turbo car it's called a turbo manifold. If you don't understand why the NA header has to be removed, you have a TON of reading to do...outONyou said:cause its gonna take me a very long time to get the turbo. (im talking a while) and while i wait i want to do what i can to get as much gain from the engine as i can.And i bought the car with the cai and exhaust. Why do the headers get chucked?
Unfortunately no, The only place that sells it is essential speed from their website for 547.660 usd I'am on the same quest at you. Here is a thread I started a while back very helpful-http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65626outONyou said:Subghetto---You know of any places that would have that at a cheap price
Depends do you want it to be a daily driver or race car???outONyou said:i dont know where to start to look for cams. And i know nothing about em....If im looking to race my car in the 1/4 evantually what sorta cams should i look into
Too risky if anything I would use a "sneaky pete system" and even then I would be a little scared but yeah def wet kit if anything and a lot of fuel tunning as well as upgrading your whole fuel sytem.Replica said:I'd spray a little.
Wet kit.
Well then if you want to get the most out of cams you can get wangers N/A stage III aggressive race cams but then you will need titanium valve springs and probably EMS to make the most power out of them. I would suggest getting the stage II N/A cams once I get enough money I will be getting these since they are mild compared to the stage III'soutONyou said:its a daily driver, but i dont care to much about that. I dont drive my car during the winter and i take public transportation to work.
FI cams will be good if you plan on going turbo very soon, if not than an EMS is not a bad option either as it can help fix our bad ecu's and actually help increase HP with every little thing you do.akhilleus said:Now even w/ cams, what works for NA doesnt necessarily work with FI. I would say get the pulley, beef up the tranny and get the turbo. The rest of the stuff is unnecessary and probably a waste of money. An ems would be good too.
