What pressure for my new tires?

I just got a new set of 19's from the mazda 6 for summer.
To fit my Mazda3, i got 225/40 Pirelli P1s.

I wondering what tire pressure I should run o these relatively low profile tires.

The profile doesn't matter much. Since they are wider than stock they will likely need a little less pressure - what is recommended for the Mazdaspeed3 with similar tire width (although on a 18" wheel)?

I could explain how we chose tire pressures in competition, but I don't know if you are interested in that.

I'm running 225/40/18 and I'm at 35psi. I think the limit to my tires are 40psi or around there...

I just realised I ordered the wrong tires. I got Pirelli P1s XL (extra load) which will be too harsh, so I have to wait a bit longer for the normal ones to arrive
