What power should i be putting down?

50 trim....isn't the gt28 a 56mm compressor wheel? 50 sounds small for that housing too lol....so you saying a 50 trim turbine wheel? that would be a nice upgrade

i got a feelin that when i turn up the boost on this b**** its gonna show me what its got. I think i might see how far i can get this weekend without fuelcut/detonation lol.

nah my compressor wheel in the 28rs has allready been upgraded. Im talkin about swappin out for a agp 50 trim t3/t4 it has a 50lb compressor wheel with a stage 3 exhaust wheel

atp turbo offers the t2 housing on pretty much all the gt3x series

but idk if those housings with bolt up to a non-gt series...

yea i know that that wouldnt be a problem. Getting the comp housing to fit with the radiator would be a problem tho.

indeed, after plotting out the compressor chart the gt28 is just WAY more efficient on our engines....should pull all the way to the end of the power band rather than peter off like the stocker does...and it should be super efficient right up to about 20psi if I recall, I'll have to check my compressor maps when I get back home

aftermarket or stock? I ran this turbo on a stock radiator and stock fans (both of them) and it was a close fit but still had plenty of clearance...and I believe the t3 housing makes it sit further outward than the t2 housing

well my maps arent going to be like your 28rs maps you should check a 3071 map to see more what my 28rs is like

yea it should clear no problem

its a but of a pain to get it in though, but it clears once it is in...you can install the drivers side fan after it is in the car though and be set

i think i should be able to hit 12 psi this weekend and now have to worry about det. All i use is 93 octane in my car. Do you have 93 or 91 out there?

true, I have the 3076 map though and it flows perfectly up to about 25 psi, I'll look again when I get home at the 3071 though

we have 91 out here =(
youll probably hit pinging/det at 12 psi though, if using the stock ecu...if on the f/ic you should be fine, and youll be able to retard timing if you do hit that

lol, but you can't advance it...wtf?

i dunno i dont think it will ping i dont think im gonna try it tho i need my car runnin no spun bearings for me lol

yea lol, youll likely ping if its the stock tune =P
either that or my car is just possessed when it comes to those things...I was pinging at 10 psi on a gt2860 lol
