What is this part called?

I got 2020 CX-5 GS. Can anyone tell me what this part is called? I noticed an oil leak there.

It's the bellhousing of the transmission, where you could have a rear main seal leak.

I think it's just a cover that seals up the bellhousing, and not the bellhousing itself. A leak from behind it would indicate a rear main seal leak but could also be transmission fluid.

I had a leak there too. It was rear main seal leak that was eventually fixed under warranty. It was a battle.

Looks like I will paying the dealer a visit. I noticed some of this residue when I changed my front diff and cleaned it up as well. I thought somehow it was leftover from oil change. Apparently not. Nothing big enough to accumulate on the floor but you won't see it unless you drop the front under-shield. Not hard but just a lot of screws and fasteners. Sorry for big pics... may not be easy to see on phone.

Thanks for the update. I bought it pre-owned from the dealer last year with the additional warranty. I hope it will cover under that.
