What is the most aggressive I can go WITH rear fenders rolled?

is the front fender already rolled? do I have to worry about clearance on the fronts?

Front fender on every car I've ever seen is rolled from the factory. You'll need to worry about clearance on the inside depending on offset and tire size, you may rub on the strut. The white car I posted, the owner said he has a sliver of room between the tire and strut up front with the 245 on a 45et wheel.

A little OT, from what I understand in other posts +38 is about as far out you can go before rolling the fenders on a non lowered car. Can you guys agree with that? I know madvillian has +30 offset on 9 inch rims with rubbing and fender rolling on coils.

I just got a set of OZ futura IIIs on the way and I am hoping I can ride on them without rolling the fenders on stock suspension. They are 17x7.5 at 38 offset. Haven't picked a tire for them yet.

It depends on tire size more so than offset. The smaller the tire you run the more aggressive you can get with wheel offset.

THanks, I was hoping for that answer. I am trying to go as aggressive as possible without rolling the fenders. I had a Honda Fit recently with fenders I had to roll to fit some rims. I rolled them as gently as I thought I could but the paint started spider webbing all over and by the time I got rid of it there was rust forming in the wells.

The paint was cheap on those cars and the MS3 looks like it has thicker paint but are their any people getting cracked paint or peeling anywhere outside or on the inside of the roll on the fenders?

Use a heat gun and go very slowly.

well damn...this sucks...wheel dude only has +48 offsets for most 8.5 wide wheels and 5x114 bolt pattern...it's either +48 or some ridiculously low offset like 25-30....nothing in the low 40's range

Buy some real wheels. Also be sure you aren't looking at Mazda3 recommended fitments, they won't have anything aggressive listed.

get the 48's, if you need to get some 5mm spacers or something for the front, who knows you might not. wont know til you try it out.

that guys running a 18x8.5 with a 45 offset, seems to be working out fine.

hey madvillian...i just want to get this straight

for ms3, the fronts OUTER edge has no problems with clearance...but the INNER edge might be pushing too close to the struts? (stock suspension wise)

the rears, the OUTER edge has problems with the fender rubbing (need to get it rolled)....and the INNER edge has plenty of clearance for the struts?

yes, basically. if you are on the fence about a pair of wheels, use that wheel calculator and use my 18x9's +30 as the example, then compare the wheels you're looking at. if the inner clearance (strut side) is greater than -10mm or so, then you'll need spacers in the front. as for the rear, the space could be like up to -30mm's difference and still clear the strut. hope this helps.

Oh s*** my bad lol i read it too fast Im at work lol

they are 225-40-18

To me, I dont see the point of a wheel that wide if your only going to run a 225 width tire. I can understand if you like the looks, the whole stretched tire VW thing. Personally I like getting as much tire as possible under the car and using appropriately sized wheels for that tire.

Stretched is oh so sexy when done right.
