Mazda cx5 2018 rear wheel arch molding

Hi everyone,

I recently took my 2018 Mazda CX-5 on a road trip from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon. On the drive back, the rear left (driver's side) exterior wheel arch molding (the black textured plastic trim) completely detached and was lost on the highway.

Current Situation:

• The metal fender is intact, but some of the plastic retaining clips are still stuck in the body holes.

• I am looking for the most cost-effective way to replace this.

Questions for the group:

1. Has anyone had success with aftermarket moldings (eBay/Amazon/Walmart) matching the factory textured black finish?

2. Should I buy a specific "clip kit," or do the moldings usually come with the necessary green/orange clips?

3. Are there any specific tricks to getting the new trim to sit flush against the body without it flying off again?

I've attached a photo of the area for reference. Any part numbers or links to reliable aftermarket sellers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well, I have one data point... I got a pair (only came as a pair) of front arch trims from Amazon to replace one on my daughter's car that was scraped up. They shipped them folded in half, which kinked them so badly that they wouldn't straighten out, even with heat. So please check the reviews carefully. Having said that, the finish was close enough to the factory finish as to be acceptable to me (and I'm pretty anal :))
