I think im going to get a 2nd job in a few weeks but since I have never really worked in anything but a "professional" position I dont know where to go or what to do.

I think im most qualified to work at Best Buy but I am afraid that if I do I will be tempted ot blow the money I am making there on more toys since i would be getting a nice discount....

I think bartending would be a good way to make some money and it might be cool since you get to be social, but I have never been a bartender and I havent even taken the TIPS course that most places require.

I think you make decent money at tweeter since you make commission (judging by craig and dan) but im no expert in audio or video....

Home depot might be cool but I bet they pay like crap..

any ideas?

McDonalds...LOL, sorry! I don't know. But if you are going to get a second job, make it somehting you really enjoy doing.

i could tell you that waiters make a ton of money
this is the way to go, but be ready for long hours and asshole people that
leave tip as if they take a piece of their body and place it on the table

best buy in a repsected place, such as TV or Computer may be kool

Hooters, i woudn't know, i am a guy.....

i used to work in an arena.....for concerts and such
it was a ton of fun, but pay wasn't good at all

home depot... i have a couple of friends working there, and they hate the pay.

you could work for a car performance shop, like selling products or such
like tweeters or myer emco

hope that helped a little

i work part time at two clubs in downtown Toronto ... working with a few friends who do the promoting for the clubs. easy money, free drinks, and you meet alot of people and make some contacts for other things.....:) but yeah, bartending makes great tips.

I worked at Best Buy for about 2 years. You may have better willpower than me, but a lot of my money went back into the store.

Like someone else said, make sure you do something you like.

Cant beat working in IT when you have VPN :)
Ah, I love doing that once in a while. Yeah, nothing beats working in your underwear.

i work valet and kinda like it, i stay bcause the money is good and get to drive cool cars, but the managers and hours can sometimes be a b****

best buy would be cool, In law worked there on the side. Major hookups with your emp discount. Foot locker or something might be cool.

performance shop is a cool idea....but I dont have an "in" at one anywhere and im sure they dont hire all too often since tons of people want to work there to get hooked up on prices

i was actually just thinking the same thing... I was thinking of trying to be a bartender just a few nights a week. Make some extra $ and just chill with drunk people. But the problem is it's kind of difficult to get a job as a bartender. If you want to just get into like a bar/club type of place, you usually gotta have connections and definitely experienced bartending skills. Or if you wanted to work at like a TGIF or Applebees type place they'll usually require you to start as a waiter and work your way up to bartender. Kind of a PITA just for a fun weekend type job. The bartending class is supposedly pretty decent, but doesn't necissarily mean you'll get a job. I know quite a few people that have taken it, but still can't get in anywhere as a bartender.

You say you have never worked in anything but a professional position.. may I ask what schooling you have? Just to help you with ideas.... no harm intended.....

Best buy pays well for knowledge as they don't have any training.
Everytime you get the urge to buy something just talk to me. I'll talk you out of it or give you a better alternitive.

paid on call fire-fighting/medic...if your area has it, and it requires significant training, usually at minimum pay
