What have you done to your Rotary Mazda Today?

Haha...right? Actually I'm looking to get something different. Thinking of going to 19's.

Added racingbeat sway bars front and back, hawk HPS brake pads, and the oem rear wing we scavenged.

Man, those sway bars make soooo much of a difference. I seriously thought the car felt flat before (despite getting some pics from an autocross of us almost lifting a rear tire in a corner ehe)... tightened the car up a bit too, its not as easy to throttle steer now... but its still got better turn-in than my mx-5.

Beatrush bar installed.

Looks like a nice hefty quality unit...I'm thinking of getting one for the Cosmo...Is it really worth it? If so...How has it improved handling?

if the cosmo has strut suspension... it will improve handling and steering feedback like mad...

heck, i've yet to drive a car that i didn't love to drive more after throwing on a nice strut bar... I was surprised at how nicely my mx-5 handled after adding front and rear STM's... then we threw a set at the RX-7... whee!

but I'm addicted to feeling the road thru my steering wheel... if you like a plush/squishy ride... they won't be your cup of tea... tho if you liek to command where you car goes and know what the tires are doing, they're great (tho bigger sway bars and stiffer springs/shocks will gain a lot more)

It's aluminum and much lighter than stock. I don't track my car, so really it's only an improvement in aesthetics for me. Worth every penny....thanks to Ken at PG.

That's what I'm wondering...I don't have any plans to hit the cones and go autoXin in the Cosmo...Although, such an upgrade should improve highspeed stability and general handling ability...Hmmm...Still considering...

prepped the 7 for this weekends autocross... fluids, cold air pressure, took a couple hot laps around the neighborhood to make sure last weeks sway bar install didn't leave anything loose, then loaded 'er up on the trailer...

Probably not much in high-speed, but I think you still might notice a more overall solid feel to the car, especially over uneven surfaces. Quicker turn-in and might quiet any small noises from chassis flex. Whether it's worth the cost is individual. Are they hard to find here for a Cosmo?
For me, I just finished hooking up my new APEX'I POWER FC and Commander. Smoothed transition between primary and secondary turbos, noticiable bump in power, so much easier to monitor stuff. Still early but I even suspect gas mileage will improve. I'm an old guy and not real tech friendly, so I'm still on a cautious learning curve, but damn.......wished I'd made the jump years ago.

I got the Pettit FLASH for the ECU. Which means the fans go on sooner my idle is at 1100 rpm. Fixed the Decel fuel issue and gained about 7-10 hp

anybody else working on anything new? Mine still sits....probably until after the holiday season...

Although i did back it out to get the driveway redone, but that was pushing it lol...

Then we wondered why it was a ******* b**** to push back in....I thought the brakes seized...come to find out I left it in gear lol....no wonder my wife hear a "chug" sound from the engine when she was in the drivers seat....der!!!!!
