What have you done to your Rotary Mazda Today?

Needs a rebuild apparently. Came with a rebuild kit. Still needs seals though I think. Been sitting for atleast a year. It's completely gutted. Plan to put a lsx in it at some point. Wanted to get it running via rotary power but didn't want to spend too much to do it.

Yea, a LSX is definitely the cheaper more reliable route. I still prefer a rotary engine but I understand how much of a headache it could be.

Yeah. I love the concept of the rotary. And its awesome how they work. If they were more reliable is go that route. Plus mine not running and being gutted helps ne with the decision to go the lsx route

Rotaries are reliable as long as you don't go overboard with mods.

Deflooded the wife's 8 today (for the second time). Put a new battery in it yesterday, it was still the original one. I like how Mazda provided a nice nylon sling to make it easier to get the battery in and out of the holder.

The interior will fit, my friends 88 GTU has a bolt in cage with a full interior it is tight but it fits.
I've discovered the S4's (86-88) have a little more room in the a-/b-pillar area due to not have the automatic seatbelt system. If I intended to have a full interior forever I'd try to go about swapping the to older S4 panels and headliner.
