What have you done to your Rotary Mazda Today?

yeah but there will be variences to what Cam may rebrand to the Cobb unit it's self. They can't be identical wouldn't make sense.

Here go the pics

Engine Bay

The pump fit perfectly behind the wind sheild washer tank which I am using as my Methanol/Water tank

That is the injector.

This is the controller in the glove box. If you look closely there is a green LED on the top left of the glove box. It lights up when the system is spraying.

BONUS!!!The Bday gift my wife gave me.

You are "injecting" the methanol ahead of the throttle body?!?
(hand)

Are you sure that is the injector position? The location you are showing in the pic is where Cam has been installing the idle bypass inlet.

Yeah and Yeah

Why is it a bad idea to inject before the throttle body?

1) Because Methanol is a fuel and the last thing you want is fuel vapor in a place where it can escape to atmosphere in the engine bay. (Let alone putting it inside the compressor!)
2) Because it can't be injected at proper pressures there - if you have a typical 150 PSI injector (which I suspect you don't) it will blow out of that silicone coupler. If you have a low-pressure nozzle (probably do) it won't atomize so you won't get the cooling benefit and the delivery will be uneven.
3) It will pool and collect in the intake tract.
4) It could freeze the throttle body.
5) It can damage the blower coatings.

Really, the main thing - all safety and practicality concerns aside - it isn't really doing what you want it to do there.

The point of meth injection is to lower charge temps. Its does this best after they have been raised by compression. It doesn't make sense to cool something that isn't all that hot to begin with. The temp delta will be minuscule compared to doing it the right way.

Either relocate the nozzle to the outlet of the blower or to the flange where the UIM and LIM meet.

EDIT - Did Cam or Moon do this install?

are those winter wheels/tires or what you replaced the otherones w? Im not digging them :( they dont look right on the car...

17" running for the winter. Check the tire markings. It's a must for us in the NE. I still have my black wheels and OEM wheels....and a set of 4 brand new Nitto NT555 tires for my OEM rims....all in my basement.

Nice...How much did those run you?

It would be cool to see pics of the rims "attached" :D

Nice but I hate to think what state the Cosmo is in now that it doesn't have a heart...:(

Why did you have to scrap the 20b?..So does that mean your rebuilding the stock 13b?

um.......he's putting the 20b into his FD...not taking it out of his Cosmo (he doesnt even have a cosmo)
