What have you done to your P5 today?

You mean on the endlink? I installed a Progress bar and AWR adj endlinks a couple of weeks ago. The brackets and bushings on the bar are fine and just went back out and sprayed some WD-40 on the lower end of the end link while my buddy pushed down on the car and the squeak is gone. Going to have to tighten them up and throw some grease on them.

Is this on the front or the rear? I had this issue on the front, here's a thread I started with pics: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/show...sn-t-center-could-that-cause-a-clunking-noise

Got out of the walmart parking lot and seen this when I went to the car. lol

Polished the headlights with the PlastiX, still working on center console gauge panel. =)

EDIT. Also Seafoamed the car, found out that my gasket that goes from the header to the J is blown out. =( Its hard to find those....

Hmm... I think I'd have to hear it in person. My guess is that it's in the bottom end.

Sounds very much like a very bent rod if something was bouncing around it wouldn't be a consistant and steady sound. Get a mechanics stethescope to see exactly where it's coming from and not that it matters but you could get a compression tester for $20 too at the auto parts. Either way that motor needs to come apart :(

I was already planning on replacement. I'd still kind of like to know what's the deal with this one though, just so the mystery was solved. haha
