What have you done to your P5 today?

Yep, and they don't do a damn bit of good. Just got a helluva deal on them...

...that being said, the Hawk HP+ pads are so good that I still have a bruise on my forehead from hitting the windshield while bedding the brakes in.

But they squeek like crazy. I can hear you brake all the way down the street, even over your loud exhaust. Haha! I guess that's the pay off for great braking.

not without pics!

Damn right! Haha!

Honestly, if you don't plan on tracking the car much, if any, just some decent, quality inexpensive rotors from Autozone and some decent pads would be fine and probably run you about $200 tops for all four corners. I can't really help for other brands since I just stick with Brembo and Hawk. And as far as the install, it's not that tough. Just don't be scared to whack the face of the rotor to break them loose. (Learn from my mistakes). And the rear calipers allen bolts might be stripped/seized so might want to pick up some new rear calipers before the job just in case you need them.

sooo just for s**** and giggles I signed up with Fuellly to track my mileage.. Apparantly the P5 is averaging 31-32 MPG... not to shabby for 199k.. I was surprised..

howw, i cant seem to geet anything more than 25 mpg or about 310miles with a fillup

Drive like a grandma. Mine is lower than it should be because most of my trackings were done during winter, which is when I drove the car the most. Even then, I'd consistently hit over 400 miles per tank.

godam i just hit 315m and JUST refilled since my E light came on

Damn thats crazy. 100 miles. I couldnt imagine that every day. I drive maybe 10. Thats to and from work. Hell driving 30 min, makes me go crazy!

Fixed the SC inlet, going to HD to pick up some allen bolts to replace the hex bolts. Not enough room to use hex bolts on the SC.
Also got the 2 o2 bungs, just trying to figure out where the hell im going to put the 2nd o2 sensor. As for everything else, itll have to wait till Saturday.

Headers? Got a KL swap in that P5? (sorry, pet peave of mine...)

Speaking of KL, I'm going to order my OBX headers hopefully this week too. The weather is starting to warm up around here. Just headers and radiator/fan is all I need left to buy (knock on wood). Then the swap is scheduled for the 2nd week in April. :)

In Canada speak thats over 630km per tank. I get that for highway mileage MAYBE. In the summer. 5 speed, bone stock, up to date maintenance, and 5W-30 syntec oil. Teach me, I would give my left testicle for mileage like that.
160000km on my engine/~100k miles.

I normally shift below 3500 (anything over 4000 and it sounds like marbles in the block), and stay at a max of around 70-72 mph. That seems to be a sweet spot on the car. My car has 160k miles on it right now. I dunno man, it always just worked that way. Even with A/C on, doing 70 on the highway would get me 430-440 miles on a tank.

I'm sure having the manual helps....the auto sux the life out of my mpgs. Most miles I ever recorded on one tank was 399.2, she took 13.1 gallons to fill so I had a chance to break 400....lol And that was during last falls Mountain Cruise and approx 270 of those miles were highway....

Threw the ballasts and some more zipties in the hatch last night...crossing fingers that the old ballast will work until the new one arrives.

we're lucky to see 300 miles to a tank, but that could be due to the stupid heavy 17's and 215 tires she's running

Miles per tank is a bit subjective, we all have different definitions of what constitutes a "tank". For me a "tank" is about 45 liters (right about when the low gas light kicks on). I could easily get another 50-100KM but I don't like to chance it.

Miles per gallon is a much better metric; at least with mpg there's less ambiguity.
