What have you done to your P5 today?

Exactly. I had 3 Civics before I bought my P5 and couldn't find a decent Accord wagon with a 5-speed so I bought the P5. I would've stuck with Honda D-series engines forever since I knew them so well. Now 3 years later I know the FS-DE and P5 platform really well. It's like starting over with the KL though, especially since I've never had a V6. Hell, even saying "headers" throws me off.

That's true too. So there's 3 basically bolt-in options for a fun P5 motor. The KL is probably the most expensive, then the MSP turbo and lastly the supercharger. But I think we can all agree that they're all better than the stock FS-DE. :)

I'll disagree on the FS-DE-T.

I find it funny that the MSP engine code kinda begins the word "detonate"

Is it possible now to supercharge and keep the air conditioning? I've been kind of out of the loop for a while and at one point supercharging was just a dream, later, I remember you could do it but had to give up the AC. It's way too hot around here in the summers to give up AC on a daily driver. Who sells a kit?

Thanks, everyone. I know I'm kind of asking a question that's been asked roughly 100,003 times since 2001, so I appreciate you all just giving me the latest info so I don't have to search, read 76 threads, and then try to figure out what's still applicable!

Edit: oh, yeah, it's got about 74K miles on it.

Decided to finally wash it after about 3 months....it was long over due

Well of course you would. You hate the FS-DE and yet yours is still running after over heating, rare oil changes and being driving into the ground. 158k miles and is still running strong, right?

Hehe. Yeah. I love my P5. Someone backed into it today. Cracked a taillight. Emily got the dude's insurance info.

That sux but good to hear she got his info....you know what to do now...right? hehe ;)

I hope you don't get the rust repaired...with the condition the car is in, it would just be worth keeping it road legal and hoping more people hit it...now it is time for the P5 to pay you back...

This thread could almost turn into "What have you bought from Scratch for your P5 today?". heh-heh

Lol...nice...

Heh, I was going to say something along those lines :)

Mine hasn't been starting so pretty the past few days... I need to find a walmart with batteries in stock, the one I went to was completely sold out.

there is a company from taiwan that makes a kit for the FS engines that allows you to keep your AC, its a pretty awesome kit
it mounts the SC directly to a custom intake manifold so you dont have to mess with routing pipes

Oh, I told her to just get some cash to replace the tail light and call it a day. No sense in polishing a turd.

How do you get your dog to stay like that?! lol

As fOr the AAI kit there is only one person running that on the FS and he is in Taiwan. He said that it's "so-so" he is makes out with what he could do....that being 150hp

Not that awesome.

You can retain the AC but it would be totally custom using shafts and brackets. It would
Cost just a bit more to assemble.

I went all out and tore the AC out. I use the "4-40" rule. Four windows down @40mph=A/C.

Didn't know it when I bought it but my replacement DS tail from Scratch is EDM with a spot for the rear fog....now to work on getting it wired up properly. I sure as hell won't be as electrical isn't my thing.

Bought some throttle body cleaner from Canadian Tire and getting ready to clean it. Been searching here and found a thread started by Mntnbkr about this.. going through it now.. if someone can give me hints, ideas, does and don'ts please let me know, will really appreciate it. My P5 is standard, and from time to time idle gets a bit rough, goes down and has stalled once.
