Finally got the car back home today, part out starts next week..

I did one of my most proud mods to the car yet. Its probably the smallest and easiest of them all too.

First mod was today,did the fog lights always on mod. The bigger mods will come spring, winter sucks in Michigan.

I just pulled my oil pan and installed a new oil return line and new gasket cause I had a pretty good sized leak going on. The leak looks to be completely taken care of but now I have a good amount of white smoke coming from the tail pipe. I THINK that since I used ammonia cleaner to remove the RTV from the oil pan, some may have stayed in the oil pan even though I wiped it down thoroughly. Once I start driving, the smoking goes away but at idle, it's coming out a good amount. Any ideas?

changed spark plugs..oil... 10w30 mobil1 synthetic with mobil 1 626 filter...also messed with the battery...hope fully my start up issue goes away

@ fish You should have used a brass wire grinder. Best for that application.

you are burning oil so its getting in there somehow. check your PCV first since thats easiest, then go after the other points of entry.

What color is it now? Just the natural mold color that it comes in?

mine? its half painted, half black, and the paint job is starting to chip off a little on the sides cuz i didnt prep it well at all when i sprayed it lol
i really think all painted would look awesome, ill have to see

Truth! Good thing we were in the back of the pack. Haha!

And I rolled over 128k miles. Though she still cruises at 85mph with ease. I just can't wait for the KL swap so I can keep up with the big boys.

My understanding was we were in the back because 'you save the best for last'. hehe

Yeah, she still cruises nice. I was cruising around 70 most of the trip home with some 75 thrown in. Made the last 40 miles home with the gas light lit.
