What have you done to your P5 today?

I have some nitrile orings here at work. The correct size I need. 8mmX2mm I think I'm going to try these out.

You sure those are rated to take the heat of an engine? If not, you're probably going to be very leaky very very quickly.

i wouldn't suggest Nitrile. . . . . . .

Doh, muff beat me. . .. . stupid server lag

I'll still look around. Using the wrx injectors gives me a wide range of vendors to choose from. And now that I have the actual size I can get some good ones from McMaster or something.

i think you can get like sets from napa...i local guy bought a whole set, which came with all the o rings, and even new filters for the injectors
i dont think it was expensive at all..cant remember though

Napa

Do you know what listing it was under? I called for our car and the wrx. Didn't have anything. =(

umm no...sorry, i gotta ask the guy next time i see him
i do know you can get O rings from advanced though, i bought a set, that just came with the 3 o-rings for one injector and it was 17 bucks lol
but they had to ship tht from georgia or something, cuz nobody else had them...looks like dealer may be your only option

The o-ring kits that advance used to have at their stores is discontinued. I ordered new o-ring kits from rock auto and they are also beck and arnley but the o-rings look much more like stock. The old ones advance had were thinner. Check on rock auto. The whole kit for one is $3.14. I have four of those sitting next to me right now. They look legit.

That sounds great. I'll order a few sets.

Thanks

Before I swap the injectors I'm going to try some of the maps in a SSAFC section just to mess around. Don't really have anything to do at work so I'm going to pick some out for me to try tonight. If these don't work out I'll swap to the 440s and tune for those.

If that doesn't work then there's a problem with the car. lol

got my tires mounted tonight! yes i know there is wheel gap but oh well. might get cured in the spring.

make sure the gap on your plugs is good before you run the 440s (im sure it already is) but i say this because:
local guy wanted me to put the 440's in for him, i did it, ran a 440 map from the ssafc thread, and none of them worked right, under boost the car ran great
but as soon as he shifted it sounded like a 2 step, and we could not figure out why...turns out the gap on his plugs were .42 lol...way off

Woah. That's where I had it when I first got the SC kit. I dropped it down to .32 I think. Should I go lower?

Watched the p5 take a bath during the storm, contemplating how to get enough money to replace fender, get rust bubbles from rear panels taken care of and get whole including CF hood repainted...need to win the LOTTERY!!!

Drove with no radio on, realized how squeaky the belts have gotten in the last couple of weeks. Realized I need to get off my ass, MAKE time, and install the new belts, which I bought a month ago!
