What have you done to your P5 today?

Speaking of squealing. I get an intermittent squealing, only when it dips to almost freezing, only when I run the heater or A/C at idle. It goes away when I rev the piss out of it. I unhooked the wire to the A/C thinking it was the clutch but it still happens...

Anyone chime in???

Belt.

I have new belts. I'll do it this weekend and see if it fixes it. Is it because they are getting old and hardening up?

they may be glazed from slipping so much. when they get hot, the reinforcement strands melt and create a slippery surface. sometimes it looks like broken glass in the ribs. i had it happen to mine after about 50k miles.

finally put the 20mm ES bushings on my RB rear sway bar...i was running with the stock 16mm squished to all hell on it lol. yeah it is one hell of a difference just from taking a quick drive around the neighborhood. and i finally dont have a clunk coming from the rear! yay!

oh and since i'm finally back on here after like 2 months of being off, at what milage do you guys suggest i change my timing belt? i'm only touching maybe 83,000 miles. also should i be doing the water pump while i'm at it? that last question is probably a "hey you're a dipshit" question...

100k is a good time to change it. I changed mine at 98k. Definitely get the water pump done at the same time. Go with authentic mazda parts.

P0106 Code for MAP sensor is on...any input...where is the MAP sensor...easy fix or not...it is $150 from Autozone/O'Reiley/Advanced...

Got schooled by the lack of an impact wrench in trying to change my front mount for the AWR mount. Breaker bar, loads of penetrating oil, heat etc did nothing. Gave up, took it to a shop. They just called to say it was ready. Going to pick it up soon.

It's good to have contacts huh? ha ha ha

Haha that's true. My buddy here hooked me up. You coming to the fun run tomorrow?

I added more oil to the P5. She runs like a champ but I have a pretty good oil leak coming from the oil pan. The fix would be to pull it, clean it, re-RTV it and all that s*** and I don't have the time to mess around with it at all right now.

Do you know what a breaker bar extension is? A pipe. It's good to have. lol

I only had a 2 foot bar on it and the square head of the bolt started spinning against the tab on the part that is attached to the engine. That was the point where I gave up. Had I really wanted to I could have tracked down someone with a compressor and an impact wrench, but it was Saturday morning.

I have a 4ft. and a 2 ft. lol helped with the rear mount.

Changing coil packs and messing around with the ssafc today. Lets see how that goes.
