I've read that this mitsu knob is heavier than the stock P5 leather knob. Any truth to that? How do the shifts feel? I think it could be a good replacement if my stock one starts getting worn.

it is definitely heavier than the stock mazda knobs. i was surprised that it was that heavy when it arrived. i personally like this style shift knob because it fits well in your hand so it feels good to me. 2nd in line are round shifters but again, i dont like my hand freezing or burning

the ebay guy that sold it to me is a good seller. he contacted me sayin sorry it didnt get sent out yet and when he did ship it, it came in 2 days. i think someone has one for sale on the forum, but if not then heres the one from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mits...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

also, this may just be me since i havent heard anyone else say anything about this knob... my knob when tightened, it was aimed more to the passenger side so i had to screw down two nuts onto the shifter's threading to create a place for the shift knob to sit and then it was all good :) simple $2 fix from lowes. i can take a pic of it for ya if you need

Been loading mine up with items from the part out...also got the first of 3 insurance checks in...they keep leaving stuff off of them...sending off money Friday for JSpec Cams and should be buying FMIC piping here shortly...

^My skunk2 knob is the same. I use some locktite in the threading and/or a lock nut below it to get it aligned properly.

mine went like 45 degrees too much to the right. it wasnt slightly lol.. anyhow, i'll post my fix anyway to show that some nuts will fit under your knob for this sorta fix. shoulda added a washer but oh well :D

I lied, mine is not the "Big" version, it's just the normal 440gram weight version. I never thought about having the H pattern on the knob until the tech at the alignment shop asked me where reverse was...

This pic is old but it's the same knob. It's actually a lot lower down on the shifter and the TWM logo is straight now. That was driving my OCD crazy.

i love the cover for the cup holders... mine didn't come with one though :( so im looking around for one when i get the funds.

but yeah, i have the M1 Abrams in my car and yeah, that thing freaking burns, i keep a hat over the knob when it's parked outside to make it seem at least a little bit more tolerable.

i have been talking with a rep at twm and they said that they are looking into leather weighted knobs, but it's not high on the list of things to do (so i guess we should message them to increase demand)

Find the cupholder assembly from a 2002. They went to open holders in 2002.5. (If you weren't aware.)

Also... a less unsightly fix to the crooked shift knob issue is to take the boot off and put a couple washers on the shifter itself. Make sure the inside is just big enough to clear the threads and stop on the part where the shifter gets wider. That's how I did it in the MSM.

Yep, and if you want a cupholder with a cover let me know...I will sell you mine for cheap...needs to be repainted, but once again, it is cheap...

Not to sure....gotta figure out if i likem enough to keepem...there are yukibs custom eyelids that i had sanded bonded and profesionaly painted the msp mica black with the flakes...pm..i kinda want those spacers you have for sale..

Lol...I think they are yellow and powdercoated...the powdercoat even looks like HZ yellow...it matches the car...how did you know I would wanted them like that...

Just got done doing the turtle wax headlight restoration kit. I am extremely impressed. The results were nothing short of amazing. The before picture doesn't even begin to show how hazed the entire top half of the light was and how bad the lights were overall. Oh and sorry, no before pic of the passenger light. I forgot.
