What have you done to your P5 today?

what could be the vibrating sound coming from my car since my magnaflow was put on. around 3k rpm and some points lower and higher there is some sort of vibration metal/metal sound that is somewhat annoying. not sure what it could be. any thoughts???

had the same problem when I got my new muff put on.. it was touching on the rear sway bar, and when I had it moved forward, the pipe over the axle was then touching the join of the fuel tank, also had a clunk (which was from bad mounts) where it also rubbed behind the rear bumper on the heat shield...

So get out and have a looksie underneath ;)

freakin A. . . . while driving Callie's car home lastnight from the pet shop, it decided to start surging. . .

not sure if it's the engine or trans, but it's not good. . . .

gutted my pre-cat and installed the anti-fouler trick. no CEL for 2 days! WOOT. Its amazing the difference in the car, i was used to it running in limp mode, feels like new! I couldn't get a gasket for between the header and the pre-cat so im running without one. is this going to damage anything?

thanks,

-Tony

I'd suggest checking ATF fluid.

Do that first thing when I get home tonight

and 02, you have a Wagner shorty header? cause the precat is in the stock header. Just curious

and if you're running without a gasket and have no exhaust leak, you're my hero! I had leaks even WITH a gasket

Car keeps throwing P0710 or something like that (bank 1 too lean)

Since the car still has warranty (for the next 2 years) I'm just gonna let them deal with it when I take it in for normal service next week. i think it has something to do with either the MAF (since i didn't clean it when I had the intake apart to put on the SRI, though that shouldn't effect anything and it looked clean) or an o2 sensor

i hear that P0710 code, i get it randomly. i have a spare O2 sensor laying around for the next time it comes on and stays on more than a day. usually it just comes on for like a half hour or so and goes away though.

Two words "knock light" oh and it's pOtato :)

LOL..... knock light? whats that? is that when the check engine light starts blinking at me in a horrible pay attention to me kinda way?
LOL

with the p0tat0 im just gonna run low boost... tuned... but low boost.... nothing over 6 psi... infact i wish i could be at about 3 or 4 psi.... just to be in the extreamly safe range...

and yes im saving for a j&s... havent got the 400 for it... or anywhere to put it on my dash... i had a hell of a time for my A-vcr and my kiwi gauge

yeah, car runs fine, just annoying to see the light come on. i clear it, re tighten everything and it comes back 3 weeks later (like freaking clockwork) but doesn't go into limp mode or anything, but obviously kills gas mileage since the computer thinks this already rich running car is running too lean

I've been looking for clean low mileage 03.5 Charcoal and Laser Blue MSPs. I figure they are more collectible and would be easier to sell in the future, plus I always wanted to put a turbo and a bunch of MSP parts on the P5, this way would be easier.
There is a badass silver 03.5 MSP with an upgraded turbo, a FMIC, a CS radiator, arias pistons and Pauter rods for sale but it's 22V (ftl) and it's in Oregon. Oh, and it's got 40k miles.

I cleaned her up. I know about the paint on the pass side....going to the shop soon. I also made a quick mod today can anyone spot it>?

What brand window vents do you have? AVS or Weathertech? Looks good man. A few too many little stickers, IMO though.
