What have you done to your P5 today?

found out thta my p5 averages about 25 mpg with intake and exhaust in the city.... is that good?

Not bad but could be better.. our p5 with a semi seized front caliper gets 30-31mpg in city (mostly campus) and thats with the same mods but my exhaust is full from headers back not sure if you just meant muffler-axel back- or catback or full like me :)

Bought this toy to keep company to my P5. It's RED, the pic dosen't do it justice..

yea they are smaller. It was originally a naked bike. had a round headlight and no fairing. they have the sv650 and 650s.

Good morning 247, it's back to the drawing board with my eyelids. They have been sanded down as close to the surface as possible and now have the first coat of putty applied to them. Pics soon as I get the surface more smooth looking.

Yeah it's a 650, kinda wanted a 1000, but insurances was too high for my little wallet.

The bike weighs 200kg WET, 168kg DRY.

It's my first bike, so I think I will enjoy it! And when it will rain, and i'll take a ride in my P5, I'll be happy to have this great car that handles almost like my bike! :D

just discovered that my front motor mount is torn a good amount. i really cant tell how the side ones are without taking them out. is there an easier way than that to see how they are doing? and exactly where is the back mount? i got under the car and havnt seen it yet

there is a how to.... and the back mount is EASIER to remove and change if the intake manifold is NOT on the car... ( just a suggestion from experience )

No, what I was saying is it looks small because its "naked" the other poster thinks it looks small because it doesn't have the huge super-bike fairing on the front. Its just a different style of bike, they don't have to have huge fairings to have a good size engine in them. I think they make that same bike in 1000cc too dont they?

650 is more than plenty for a first-bike. I usually recommend a Ninja 500 as a first-bike.

Enjoy it and be safe!

^ part of being safe includes not falling into riding with a group of morons, morons ride bikes too...

Started over on the eyelids, letting the final coat of primer dry before I wetsand it and then start my first basecoat of yellow.

Primer wetsanded:

They turned out much smoother this time around. I'm going to do several light coats of yellow and over time the minor stuff should fill in.

Why don't you just get some Bondo and fill in all those small dimples? It won't take much to fill them and they will look nice and smooth after you paint them. Or else they will look half-assed over your beautiful projector housings. Don't rush the eyelids, bro. This is already the second time you had to start over. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but you can do it right the first time or do it right the third time.
