What have you done to your P5 today?

Well leaving for tampa on thursday to spend a fiveday weekend with evilmonkeymsp and his wife so got the g/f's p5 in shape. Cleaned the throttle body, cleaned off the spark plug tips, range top engine cleaner through it, rotated and balanced the tires and just checked everything over. At 167k car is in great shape, burning a little oil though. Brake pads are at 77k and are looking to go well over 90k which is what the first set made it to. Gonna plan for a high compression build past 200k. Also next month the 1.8L ignition is going on as the current ignition is starting to have a hard time under large load.

Oh and we put the roof top carrier and it seemed like a perfect place for all the spare stickers i have laying around doing nothing. Also got the UGA cling on the back window, SU tag frame, and put the decal on the corner of the hood. Got alot of the stickers in the care package my dad got from the OCC meet.

see thats the point in order to fight the windresistance i had to add the HP somehow.

DUUUUDE! put that extra wing you have in the Garage on your cargo carrier! It'll be sick!

(back story) hit and run in 02 that removed the bumper and pushed in and removed the left rear corner, was 'fixed' at one of a company of shops here in texas, caliber collision. been in there repeatedly of over 6 years for water leaks, cracks, etc.. well over the last year everything they painted, the clear coat was chipping BAD and a few more cracks yada yada yada. so i got my old insurance company involved and they sent my car to a differnt shop for a complete redo.

they stripped down everything, inspected everything for rust(see about past water leaks). they found that the corner was still 'pushed in' about an inch(never pulled on the orig fix)

now, they broke they the defroster connection, window has to be replaced. one of the cracks is still visible. there is a really bad paint line that i would give a year before it starts peeling. and they lost the rear door handle cover...the 'leather' on that you have to pop off to pull the panel.....

i love body shops.....she's going back in a couple weeks for another couple days

Put my car on the scale today at work

2780lbs. Is that normal?

(granted I have a 12in sub, 2 amps, the jack, spare tire, and a case of beer.)

Just wondering if anyone has attempted to put the Speed3 guage cluster into the P5 yet...I know they are much different shape and the electronics would have to be figured out, but has anyone attempted it...

Just wondering, but is this the Protege5 Roor Carrier that is listed as a Mazda Part for our cars, or do you have another...I want to get one and was looking not to long ago at them...

Yep, sounds about right. ~2600 lbs + ~200 lbs of useless junk...

beer is not useless.........and the subs drown out the world while driving i approve...i have about the same(alright)

edit: i have 2 12"s and amps, one big heavy box, some sound deadning yada yada yada

that would be the standard roof rack we have.....i drove with a hard luggage rack from texas to wv...almost the same thing and it worked flawless....i think that was about the only time i had the cross rails on....i just have always had the cross rails stored and the caps(to fill where the cross rails go) in

Yesterday I did bluebat's red turn signal overlays...unfortunately they didn't go on as smoothly as I would like, but they look good until you get close. I really think it improves the look of the tails too. Now they're all red except for the reverse lights.
