What have you done to your P5 today?

I'm running 215/40's on 17x7.5 +48's and I never rub... ever. Thinking about buying some 17x8's +42 or +45's. Prolly on 225's or 235's

On a P5? lol I hope you have a sawzall

Dude, you all are crazy... I've got a buddy pulling 15x8's +0 offset on a civic!!! I'm still going to feel like a panzy pulling off a +40. I just have to make sure they'll clear the struts being 8's and 225's. Fender rolling/pulling is my specialty. I did his civic. LOL

I'd love to see pics (not of the civic, I've seen enough of those lol). It'll need a pretty significant roll, or likely even a big pull to get an 8" +42 to fit

LOL since when did wheel offsets dictate the awesomeness of the car? Apparently I've missed something in the modding scene lately...

yeah, I just have a minor roll on my rear fenders now and the 215's never rub. Also, I'm low... not as low as I would like but I'm way below stock height. So don't think I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to fitting wheels. I need something super flush... almost VIP style flush.

It doesn't... I just like wheels with some poke to them. Also, running low offset's is kinda the new "jdm" in the tuning world. And I'm totally sure after running what I have that I can pull off +40's with no problem. I need some +15's and some camber arms to really be ridiculous. LoL

Here's an example of low offset wheels being the new thing to do... Some of these are a little extreme for me but click through the pages... there are some pretty BA cars on there

If you could pull off +40 offsets or lower on your p5 I would have to give your props cuz i dont physically see that being possible without doing some serious cutting to the fenders or some major adjustments to your camber. I like not wasting all my money on tires.

hmm... why do you need tires that wide in the back of a FWD car?

**** "new" JDM. I'll just keep buying the cars that were built in JDM land. That's JDM enough for me.

man looking through that thread on the honda forum, I can't believe the camber on some of those cars. I mean I get the whole new trend but some of them just look plain out stupid and almost to the point where it looks like the damn axles are bent lol. I guess to each his own but those tires cannot last more than a couple months like that.

Aah yes. Where looks > performance. Screw that. I'll take a car that handles awesome with 2 deg all around over 5 deg that looks pretty.

installed rear calipers... WOOT I CAN DRIVE AGAIN!

btw does anyone have a link to adjusting the parking brake? it seems loose.

+ ******* 1. Like I said before - I don't get this new scene at all. It's like some thought, "Hey, some negative camber is good so lots of it must be great!"

Ya, Probably one of the dumbest things I've seen. Just throwing money away with no positive benefit. With even a little bit of negative camber applied when there is a benefit from it, like when going to auto-exe (not daily drive!), it wears down tires at probly double the normal rate. I don't even want to know how many sets of tires these fools run through in a year. Mommy and Daddy's money must be nice? idk why someone would waste their own money on that... (uhm)

where is slideshow when there is all of this offset debate?

i drove mine to work and back... and am thinking about starting my audio install.

you pull up that lil cover at the PB lever and there is an adjusting nut on it....but you are also s'pused to adjust it useing those screws that you use to turn in the rear pistons

Thanks.

...sigh, at least I don't have to take the calipers off again.. I had the damnedest time with brake reassembly this time, getting the pads to stay long enough for me to fit them over the rotor.(ugh)

You really dont even need to remove the rear tires. Just jack it up enough to wear you can spin the rear wheel. There is a little 5mm allen screw that points outward towards the caliper. Back it out so that the tire spinds freely, then tighten it so the brake pads apply to the rotor. Then back off the allen screw 1/4 turn. Done. Unless your allen screw is stripped like mine was and had to buy a new caliper. Boo.

+45, -2 degrees of camber, barely clears
