from what ive read. just need to make sure my 01 stalk works. can someone verify this?? me love you long time??
Well.... Last tusday I got a stereo installed. Pics of that when its nice out. Been raining all weekend. While there the guy installing it left the key in the "on" position for 30+min and the car not running. turns out with a MPI tuner that is bad. Fried both coil packs...
Found that Advance auto has new coil packs for 54.00 total shipped for both!!!
Just came in today. If the damn rain would quit i will install them and get the car runnin again.
Car going on the trailer at advance auto. i was able to roll the car there from the stereo shop in the hope they stocked them. then towed it home. Had to take the bumper off so it would fit on the trailer.
New coils. cant belive they were on 54bux for both..

Dude, you need some relays on that or you'll fry them again eventually. There's a write up about it somewhere here. Hang on.........

Here it is, right in post 1...uses turbo module to not fry coils when key on & engine not running. He elaborates further into it somewhere. I have one too but haven't done install yet. I have NA module with mine tho.......

i've got some coils at my house, doing absolutely nothing for me.. so if someone wants them.. shoot me an offer.

Someone just used a project box for the 2 12v volt relays. You can get them at radio shack or an electronics components type place. Make your own. It's just a couple of relays like the guy said that don't give power to coils until starting the car. I may be doing it as well depending upon what's inside the NA module. Haven't looked. I basically have all the parts but until now no proper bkup vehicle to have this one down to do job right or just haven't done it due to something or another...like building a new house with this economy freaking out.

Here's an old post of mine with the part # that Jason gave me. According to him 01-04 will fit and the part # is the same for the MPV as well. And I regress, I paid $49.49 shipped. lol
No pics yet....digicam is at home. Here is the part # and pricing Jason gave me (this is also the same part # for an MPV).

Anyone know where to get a vacuum diagram for the P5 engine...
They told me we needed one for the install on Sat...
Also any special tools we may need to get things off...

Yeah that will work, it is a dead easy install, takes about 15 minutes, one of the better mods for this car.I paid 50 bucks for mine from a junkyard.
