I thought the mechanic was doing 4 new endlinks. Regardless, I don't know how you were patient enough to not put that bar on when you got it. Mine was on the next day. Hahaha.

He is doing 4 endlinks. So, i will have 2 new rear endlinks for "Free thread"

And, I didn't put mine on cause i didn't have time. I had plenty of time while i was off work all last week, but, i dind't have a car to put it on

I got Polk speakers also just sitting on the shelf.

Plus, i was waiting for the mechanic to fight with the stock endlinks so if he needs to cut em off, it's already done, since I don't have the tools.

So, when I get the car back, i'll get under there and take off the freshly installed OEM endlinks and throw the AWR's and Progress bar under it

Yeah... Just sounds like a little waste of effort on the mechanic's part. The amount of time spent cutting the rears off (if required) is about the same amount of time to put the new bar on. Other than the sake of having new end links, I would have told them just to remove the rears, and you'd put your stuff on when you get the car back. It's not really unsafe to run no rear sway. I do each winter to prevent mine from getting ruined.

I am also having him put new spring bolts, or doing waht he can to fix the exhaust leak. The header wouldn't pull tight against the mdipipe.

He's been out on test drives all morning so i can't get a hold of him

Hmm. May take more than spring bolts to fix that. Here's what I'd do in your position. I'd have an exhaust shop fab up a custom exhaust with a high-flow cat, and your existing pieces. Wouldn't cost much, and everything will fit properly.

About $200 is what he quoted me for a custom midpipe with magnaflow highflow cat

already had the local exhaust shop look at it. lol

He would fab up a midpipe with a flange that fits the header, and bolts up to the magnaflow

Is that with a new cat? Because if so, I'd be all over that. The cat alone is well over $120.

yeah, with cat. But, that was an estimate. He said he couldn't give me a def. price until he had it up on a lift

and, i'm not sure what exhaust piping that is.

probably just carbon steel, but that wouldn't be an issue for you in the warmer region.

if he can't fix the exhaust leak, i'll prob run it back up to get it a new midpipe. Then, i am still waiting to get a painting quote on the bumper as well. Still no answer at the mechanic's. He had a zillion cars on his lot this AM when I drove by

Do they do state inspections in FL? In VA they have yearly state inspections but it's a year from the last time it was inspected. For example, I bought my car and had it inspected in June of '05 so my '06 and '07 inspections were due by the end of June each year. Because most people wait until the last minute this typically swamped auto shops at the end of the month. Just saying, perhaps this is why he's so busy?

OH is nice, I just send a check with money every year before my birthday and that's it. No inspections or anything

Yeah, you might as well just sell them. The pay-it-forward thread has devolved into something where you have to ensure whoever takes what you offer up has something of equal value to someone else. Not sure who's or what guidelines determine an item's value to someone else but seems to be the trend. I can see the point but shouldn't be the previous item offerer's place to determine that, more like a mod function. Still, defeats the purpose of the title of the thread. More like a twist on a WTT thread now.
