What have you done to your P5 today?

Argh, I'm going to have to tighten my belts up a little today. The dealership techs had to remove them to get to the timing belt (duh) and they did a decent job tightening them but I get just a little whine during acceleration with accesories on. I'm just lazy and don't want to do it...

Get your but down there! lol Sorry just trying to motivate ya. lol The only PITA belt to tighten is the alternator belt.

haha, yeah I'll probably be doing it after work today. Unfortunately the alternator belt is the one I have to get to as it only whines slgithtly when accesories are on like the headlights, defrost, etc.
well, since they screwed it up, make them fix it! :p
It was hard enough taking her there the first time! I can do drive belts it's just things like timing which I don't fully understand that I don't do myself. One of these days I'll learn and then I won't have this problem. It would be nice to be completely self-reliant when it comes to automobile maintenance.

Random question for you all P5's with Racing Beat exhausts. I just got a MSP Racing Beat axleback and I was wondering how much you need to cut off the tip to make it be even with the rear bumper??

You shouldn't need to cut the tip itself, just all the pipe between the tip and the muffler. Did that on mine and the fit's great :)

Good choice btw ;)

Thanks, yah I wasn't talking about cutting off the tipp more just the piping going to the tip. So I will need to cut all of it off huh? Dang, I was hoping I would only have to cut off a couple inches or so. Do you have pics you could post up for me of how yours turned out??

I'm sure somewhere, but I can't get to photobucket from work :(.

There are plenty of folks that have done the conversion tho on the forum

Damn, that's loud. I like how it sounds more like a bigger car. Hm, wich tone you guys like better this one or the Hella Supertones? The supertones imo sound like a smaller car but damn loud. While these are louds as well but like from a bigger car. Wich I like too.

Was that a direct bolt-on? If so, I am putting in an order tonight.

Edit: Just read back a few threads and saw the part about cutting. Is that pretty much all you did?
