What have you done to your P5 today?

Not today but yesterday.....I sold and delivered (Thunder) header because I'm two weeks away from my turbo install. Of course I've been saying the install will start soon for 8 weeks now. BTW I've been buying parts and studying this "FI adventure" for 10 months now.

I've been hesitant to dive in head first after the P5 turbo whoas I've seen during my time on this forum.
Read- snowblazin, kansei (rest in forum peace), Rogue, khaosman, xelderx, GMalatrasi and all the other P5 brothers I cant remember right now.

I miss the small gains produced by the header but it has given me a new life to get the FI set-up installed.
Side note: It's funny how quickly you get used to your car and how it reacts to the gas pedal.

Wish me luck. I will keep you posted.

Dave.

It has to be possible.

I'm gonna give it my best go. I accept that little things will pop up. I'm just trying to avoid the biggies.

Drove my P5to the dealership to put a deposit on a Cosmic Blue GT MS3.

Got there and found out the Cosmic Blue GT was already sold, and a True Red Sport was coming next week (exact opposite of what they said on Saturday)... I had my heart set on the Cosmic Blue GT.

I drove off heartbroken.

DON'T SETTLE!!!!!! GET THE ONE YOU WANT! IT CAN BE ORDERED/FOUND!

I'm driving 8 hours to look at one in Fairbanks...

Just got off the phone with the sales rep, he sounded motivated enough for me. They actually have several on the lot, I might be able to make a deal on one of the 2007's.

i like the true red more than cosmic blue

I thought that too until I saw the colors next to each other. Plus, the Cosmic Blue only comes on the Speed3. (bonus points IMO)

I think they could've named it Charcoal Blue.... It would have been better/easier to visualize.

no kidding, I think a torque wrench isn't necessary...

90 pounds is about all the force I can muster, my Impact wrench is rated for 300ft/lbs I think,

Of course I don't have a torque wrench, maybe that is my biggest reason for thinking that it isn't necessary

I guess I'm kind of the same, but opposite?? I don't see why not use a torque wrench. Better safe than sorry, I say. Sure.. it might be alright without it, but it doesn't seem necessary to skrimp on stuff like that.

And air gun... aghghghg. Again, better safe than sorry. I don't want to over-torque or strip anything.

Just sayin'...

Hey don't forget about me! LOL, j/k. I actually have most of snowblazin's old kit - all the lines and the entire FMIC setup. Had been running strong for 10000 miles up until about 3 weeks ago...

That's why you start the lugs with your fingers... I've been changing tires for a long time, and have yet to strip a lug nut or break a stud with a air wrench. Although I've had a couple tire shops break some off with an impact, and I've twisted a stud off with a 4-way (it was already damaged, I'm not Superman) so I'm not saying that it is impossible, but you run that risk whenever you change a tire.

If I had a torque wrench, I would probably check after my 100 miles of driving, but I'm not going to go out and make the purchase just for my Lug nuts.(drinks)

I was told that the S-plan didn't work on the Speed3 because of the limited production and high demand. It works with the Speed6 though...

I heard it was Dealer discretion. The dealer in Anchorage told me he couldn't buy a Speed3 unless it was on the lot for 45+ days.

The dealer in Fairbanks has 6 Speed3's on their lot. and 2x2007 Cosmic Blue GTs. They might allow it, I'm waiting for an email (they aren't open yet).

so today was my birthday, (18 ftw) and ive really been wanting a random orbital buffer, and lo and behold. my mom got me o ne for my birthday

i guess you all know what im doing tomorrow morning.

=D

OK! I have been cleaning my car for 2 days now and I was half way done waxing the car today. I parked it in the garage and went to work. It rained 3 times while I was at work. Boy I sure am glad I kept my car parked in the garage and walked to work.... NOT!!!!!! I get home and my car is out of the garage. My dad moved it out of the garage and it got rained on. Now in the morning I have to wash it and then finish the wax. uggg. On a happy note the parts I did wax and the rainx made some sexy beads. Oh yea and my lazy ass really needs to adjust the hangers on my mid pipe, probably the most embarrassing thing of 3 things I need to fix. So lazy. I wish I had the enthusiasm I did when I first bought the car. You know when you wash it every weekend and it's still stock. Man o man.

ok so this is a little overdue but... I put the yellow bluebatmobile fog overlays on and also painted the upper strip on the front grille.

I have a question though.... Do you guys think that I should also paint the mazda emblem on the front white? I think it would look better but i just wanted some opinions. Thanks!
