What have you done to your P5 today?

Jack up car. Put a stand under it. Take off the tires. Move front to rear. Lower car. Jack up other side of car. Put stand under it. Take off tires. Move front to rear (or rear to front if you want to switch it up just for funzies). Lower car. Go for a drive. Realize you forgot to tighten lugnuts. Tighten lugnuts.

Steering wheel vibrations.

ah. well it vibes a lil from the mount but not like side to side vibes as if it's trying to turn etc. if i swap them out i'll pay closer attention. thanks for the help

if at 70+ mph (speeds where you'd notice imbalanced wheels) you have vibrations from the steering wheel caused by the motor mounts, you've got bigger issues...

not at those speeds. didn't know how fast you notice the imbalance. my bad. tomorrow i am changing tranny fluid, gettin it today, but what viscosity do our cars need? i checked the book and it doesnt say, and there are like 500 different types of trans fluid out there...where to start?

I washed my car this morning but I'll end up washing it again tomorrow.

I'm driving 4 hours across the state today for my sister's high school graduation. Then in the morning I'm driving 3 hours across the middle of the state to get to a car show and pick up a new dealership sponsor for AZMC.

Then I'll treck the hour and a half home after the car show and BBQ that Chapman Mazda is hosting for us.

Redline MT90 ftw!

i got stuck w/ mobil1. it was either that or mag1

only thing advance or pepboys had. it was freakin 8.88 a qt. :(

it says this though about the mobil1: Not recommended for automatic, manual or semiautomatic transmissions for which engine oil or automatic transmission fluids are recommended

guess i'm fine then huh or should i take it back and look elsewhere?

okie. i got the mobil1 75W-90. it came w/ the squirt top but i got the funnel deal anyway so it will be faster

I would deffinately use Royal purpal or Redline, smoother shifting and ride. I just changed mine to Royal purpal and love it. I got it at Shucks, only one of the Shucks in town carried it though so you will have to look around.

hm...i think pep boys had royal purple actually.... guess i'll take the mobil1 back and go pic up some royal purple. i saw it at pepboys but it was 9.99 a quart :( idk if it was 75W-90 or not though... i'll go check in an hour or so. gotta head that way anyway

Yah its worth it though. Are transmissions take about 2.5 quarts, but I put three in.(sssh) (shady) So either way buy 3 quarts. Also I don't know if you have changed your transmission fluid before but you will need a funnel and a long tube.

i got the funnel and tube :) the book says 2.9. hehe. 1/10 extra wont hurt anything. if it's 75W-90 i'll go ahead and get RP.

Royal Purpal actually doesn't label the weight on the bottel for some reason but I know it is a heavier weight which is good. Here is a pick of what the bottel looks like:

i saw that and i also saw the gear oil...it was 75W-90 on the bottle.
