What have you done to your P5 today?

my car has been feeling especially smooth today..

I'm sure that'll all go down the tubes when I have to drive through a hellish 1 mile stretch of construction zone to get to the highway from where I work.

It's an amazing construction site though. Every morning the road is operational with all 6 lanes plus center turning lane open, around lunchtime it's down to 1 lane in each direction, but by 5 it's back fully open so that traffic doesn't get back up. Every day around noon-ish they have large, deep tunnels dug in the road going across.. they are doing some crazy drainage work.

sucks for me though, because all the fresh patch strips going across the road are so much like speedbumps for my little protege5.. going 30 over them it feels like I'm shattering vertebrae every time... *crosses fingers* I hope I don't blow a tire, though I do have road hazard protection haha.

Same here I think mine is because it's cooler out now. It tends to bog down in the heat. The winters here are some much fun, it is like a mini turbo.

you know, crazy off camber elevation changing twisties

USDM P5 stock plugs: NGK 0000-18-BP01 (BKR5E-11)

JDM P5 stock plugs: (ZFR5F-11) - Mazda part # 0000-18-F287

I'm currently running the ZFR5F-11's and I noticed a slight improvent in idle quality and acceleration with them. http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=ZFR5F-11&x=52&y=12
When it's time to do my plugs again, I'll have to consider these. Or will they not work Patrick?

btw, AWESOME shots of the P5 and I have to agree with everyone else - those 18's fit your car perfectly. (first)

One day, the side mouldings will be removed too... Just another thing on the to-do list. (RTM)

Installed Techone 7K HIDs last night! Looks pretty damn good....I think I need to adjust the headlights though..

I gotta give credit to THEMAN; he's the trailblazer: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123631485&page=3
I'd recommend the NGK ZFR5F-11's or Denso cross-referenced plugs, assuming your P5 came with the USDM spec plugs and you don't already have these (in this case, I'd still recommend them :)).

EZ mod - you can do it in an afternoon. You better hurry up before that "cold white stuff' falls from the sky. I still don't believe it exists ... you might as well be talking about Unicorns :p

I had the ZFR5F-11s, now I'm running ZFR6F-11s. My car seems to like the 6 heat range more nowadays.

i'd hold off buying it right now. i'm waiting till my next event to see how not having it on affects the car. i will let you know the difference if you are interested.
