What have you done to your P5 today?

Just bought the p5 from my cousin 5 speed slighty modded sunlight silver so I am here to stay yeah!

so you have a Protege5 and a Mazda5?? wow that's freakin awesome. I'd love to buy a Mazda5 and keep my Protege5.

yeah the mazda5 was a close call. We were going to get a tribute but ended up with the 5. As the p5 it's more of a daily driver for me. Since I worked with my cous on this car all the time, I know it's in good condition. He's ready to move on to the S2000 so I just pick up the p5 from him. I had one like this before and I missed it so much without it

actually my cousin took it for his car. Currently it's in his garage so I think he wants to try to hook it with his s2000

today i put three huge cracks in my windshield with a rock. the impact actually made my ears pop, and it hit right in front of my face down by the wiper blade. scared the crap out of me lol.

I finally got my 17" Enkei RSVs with Kuhmos installed it looks hot....I need to do the Eibachs and HIDs now.......I will post pics soon!!

benn there(pissed) sorry man!

Thanks man... It really sucks; just got her out of the shop on Thursday

So this is what she kind of looked like prior to the hit and F'ing Run (the Driver side)

and the the 2nd pic is what she looks like now... I "had" to sand that side down... I didn't feel like driving around it the way it was. It honestly looked like they took a metal plate and just rip the paint and the side marker off...

(bang) It just sucks, now I gotta get a side marker too, the original one is pretty much gone...you can still see some black on it...

(Sorry for my Grammar...still (pissed) about it

Damn seeing that pisses me off and it isn't my car. Why do f'ing people run. If you are responsible enough to get behind the wheel of a vehicle then at least leave a damn note with info. so you can be responsible for your f'ing actions!!! GL getting her fixed man!!!!

yay manny you did the sidemarkers silver :) :) it looks good. Really sucks about the other side though. My passenger side is a bit damaged right now too.. stupid hit and runs in parking lots :P .. luckily for me it was just my taillight.

Took off the AWR front endlinks, AWR rear motor mount, fixed a dash rattle, backed it into a tractor and scratch up the back end a bit.

At least you see the good side of it things...lol

I got them done when they finished up the front bumper...but thanks, I'm just trying to get as many things done/ready for next summer...

Winter is around the corner and I still have to get:
1) Springs
2) Rims and Tires
3) DG front lip

These I could just get and put them away until better weather

Then I can start in the inside again.. since the engine should be done shortly; ordered my MSP Plastic Valve cover; s/b in by Wednesday.

Would love to paint it the same color of my car...but as ALTSPACE said the cold air doesn't help to paint... So I might be thinking of having a pro take a swing at it.

Hopefully next year Pat, Matt, Don and I can go up with yea to meet the "NEPOC" guys...looking forward to it (first)

Put the brakes back together. Unfortunately it got ridiculously cold last night and today, so the paint didn't dry so well. I should have brought them in. Oh well.

I got it together, but the brake pedal feels like mushy junk. I'll have to pick up some more brake fluid and bleed again. When I took the calipers off to paint them, I put the little plugs in the lines that came with them. Except they don't plug worth a damn. So all the fluid drained out and probably introduced a ton of air in the lines. I'd bleed bleed bleed and it'd look good, then bleed some more and get a nice pocket of air. Rinse and repeat. :(

Greatest invention in brake bleeding ... ever. Pick up 3 packs so you have one for the clutch line. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=RUS%2D639570&N=700+115&autoview=sku

hmmm, i may have to get a couple sets of those... even if you only use them once or twice, it seems like they would pay for themselves.

i've been wanting to paint my calipers for a couple years now - and the paint/brushes have been sitting in my 'car corner' since March, but i just haven't found the time when i can properly do it. or when i have, it's crappy weather and not having a garage kind of hampers things like that.

back on topic though, sort of...

took Morrigan to work and home today - pretty soon she'll be parked, so i'm enjoying her while i can before the snow flies. i love my p5, and i imagine that after her overhaul, i will be loving her even more ;)

'raced' my friend craig in his p5 with Mairead, just to compare her acceleration and for s**** and giggles. surprisingly enough, she kept up with him until we hit around 50-60kph; after that, he definitely started pulling nicely. i have to say, i was rather impressed, and he grudgingly admitted that for a 'granny car', it wasn't too bad. an 18 year old, AUTO 626 that is heavier (not sure by how much?) than the P5... i'm liking her more and more :) but OMG, wheel-gap! one day, after Morrigan's current overhaul is complete, that WILL be remedied.

the benefits of working at a dealership: took out the RX8 from work today for 1/2 hour... that rotary just sings at 200kph :D

^how fast is that in american? (120?)

Drove my P5 under the northern lights... or as they call them here "the lights"

Got some stuff done today at Midas...

Oil/Filter change (500 miles over recommendation and oil was FILTHY)
Engine Flush
Tire Rotation
Spark Plugs replaced.

or that the p5 is that bad ;)

Thought about painting sidemarkers but ya know what? I like the extra visual notification in darkness for safety.
