What have you done to your P5 today?

I just put my OBX Header on that I got from Ken at ProtegeGarage. Great sound, no noticable difference in power I guess until the ecu has time to get used to the set up.

Installed Canadian headlights (gotta thank Andrea(canada)), Xenon-Shop 6000K HID's (drove home from fireworks at the lake with these pointed at the ground :-/ ), new fender/light tabs and an Apexr1 diverter plate. Flash and no flash ... tomorrow I aim headlights and wash the car.

*Edit: Oh yeah - cleaned and re-oiled the K&N cone (having the entire f'n front end off makes for EZ access (stash))

Another Tennessee red on board! Good to finally see pics of your car. Do you have a CF rear valance? Need to get up your way soon.....where do you work? I would be interested to compare cars.

Dave.

Drove to work in the rain....again and on the way home it is time for a fill up.

Bought a autoexe replica grill from another member - woo hoo! It will have to be painted as it is yellow now. I made sure he had fitment pictures and it looked great. Can't wait to get it and install. I've been wanting one for a while now.

Really? Because when I put mine in, I noticed a difference - not jaw to the floor improvement, but it was noticeable.

As always, you're more than welcome Patrick. But I can't really see anything in these shots - full frontal please. :D

How'd you like removing the front end? Enough screws and bolts for you? Geez... When I did my headlight swap a few years ago, we got everything off (looking at only the diagram from the shop manual), lights swapped, and back together - including taking a short lunch break - in under book time of 2.5 hrs. :) But when we were done, we had 4 screws left over... Had to remember where they went! lol

How much were the Canadian headlights again? Weren't they some unreasonably high price?

In other news, I want a 10th anniversary Miader :(

You're looking at about $850CA, plus about $90CA for shipping.

850.00 CAD Canada Dollars = 764.114 USD United States Dollars

(shocked)

Hurm, so DIY it is. How many people reported some loss of lighting after doing the DIY blackout?

I myself went from the chrome housing to the black... granted, it was 3 years ago, but I can't recall any issues with reduced light output.

I bet none. :) The reflector stays chrome and you only paint the housing, here's a close up of the Canadian light - diy will look the same ... I planned on doing a P5 light conversion for my MSP, so I was in the market for some lights anyway (I believe the exchange rate was a little more favorable when I got my set of Canadians last year).

This is the second time I've had the front off and I can do it pretty quick now that I have all the special manuevers down (dang light tabs). If you still have those screws lying around (sounds like you may have gotten them back on), send me a pic and I'll let you know where they go :) Full frontal pics are coming when the lip goes on ...

Right, it should have no effect. However, I remember one person (dude who just turboed his black p5) complaining that his light output when down after he did it. I know that if it's done right the only part that will be black is the housing but it never hurts to check. Naw mean?
