LOL. Yeah. and probably next week as well. Rental company just told me to keep the van, as they are making more money renting thier cars to others. Noone wants the van. Oh well. Still waiting to hear what's gonna happen with my motor. This sucks

I did that to set up the endlinks for the the front sway bar of the miata. Only problem is you need 2 jacks to get it to work. You'll set the 1st one, but then you have to hold it in position for when you do the other side.

Yeah, I did mine like that. Floorjack to lift & factory scissor jack to unload endlink until it pulled right out of the sway & strut by hand. Went back in same way. Preload for Rear stb - no preload for endlinks.

Yeah I've got a 2 ton pneumatic jack and the stock one so I think I should be fine. Guess it's settled, AWRs for me.

Oh snap! Mechanic is telling me I will probably need a new shortblock. I just looked up onlinemazdaparts.com and the MSRP for a new shortblock is $3200. Protegegarage is selling the Speedcircuit forged built engine for $3600. Hmmmmm........I am more than willing to pay the $400 difference. Difficulty comes in if the mechanic can get that motor somehow under the warranty company. I'm not looking to have the warranty company cover the motor once it's in. I'm just curious if I can use the check for the new shortblock on the forged engine. Time to call the mechanic back.
