first off, i have to second ekhart's question: why?
secondly, importing a car into canada is MUCH different than into the US. if you go to
www.riv.ca (i believe; it's the Registrar of Imported Vehicles), it will give you a listing of vehicles that are allowed to be imported. after that, you'd have to contact transport canada and the transportation department of the province (in this case, Quebec) that you would be moving to to find out what sort of modifications would have to be done in order to make it legal in canada. for example, you HAVE to have daytime running lights (drl's), and if you don't have one already, a block heater would be highly recommended. any modifications are at your expense and MUST be done within 45 days of importing the car, iirc. you might have to pay gst (federal sales tax) and possibly duty on your car when you import it too.
because i'm moving to kansas (no emissions testing, yay!), i don't have to do anything physically to my car. and because i'm coming into the US on the K1 visa (ie, fiance visa) and importing the car permanently, i'm
supposed to be able to bring in one vehicle duty free. i'll find out for sure once i'm at the border tomorrow. then i have to have it inspected and registered in KS and i'm done. easy-peasy.
