What have you done to your P5 today?

sorry to hear about the accident patrick, glad she's not hurt too badly though :(

my baby goes in today to get her summer wheels put on (yay!), but i found two nails in one tire so i'll have to get them pulled out and the tire patched (if need be). the tribute washer nozzles and all new shifter hardware go in too. the current setup with the bronzoils is rattling like a mofo and i can't take it any longer; replacing with all OEM, hopefully that will solve the problem.

on a really aggravating note, gas has gone up yet again. i think we're paying the equivalent of about $5 a gallon for regular right now..

I was out of town on business and my car was at work. when I returned there was a huge glob of bird s*** dead center in the black part of my hood.

So..... I washed my car.

:D

the oil pressure sender has to be the hardest ******* thing i have ever tried to do on this car. I can't get it for the life of me, and iv tried for two days now. The intake manifold support bracket won''t come off either, which would have made this whole thing so much easier. I am fristrated as s*** right now.

One thing I love about the 626 single runner manifold is how much room is under it, thanks to no fat chamber thing under it. I took it off again after putting the motor in and thought "gee, that wasn't so hard, why'd I cry so bad last time?" Then I remembered how freaking huge that thing was.

Anyways... I think I used a 1/2" ratchet on the support bracket, along with an extension w/ 14mm socket. That or a mini-breaker bar thing, not sure what it is called, but thank god I have my friend's Mac tools. The oil sender is a 24mm socket IIRC. Don't break it in the block!!!!!!!

What year tribute are they for?

i suppose that i ordered the '07 i don't think that they have changed much recently. when he asked me what year i just said "the most recent" so '07 is a good bet.

I drove mine to work as usual then played 'dodge the gator' when a big truck lost a tire ahead of me.....lucky for me it was easier than the game of 'dodge the people dodging the gator' the people behind me were playing..(drive2)

i heard on the radio a few minutes after the tire came apart that some poor shmoe tagged someone that didn't manage to miss the tire carnage....

all in all, nobody got hurt and no new scratches on my car!(2thumbs)

edit: *I* wasn't causing anyone to have accidents....i made sure in my lane switching and rubber dodging that i had clear lanes...so nobody has to worry that i cut someone off :)

Shipped my stock 16's to their new owner so I have a spot to set up my engine stand.

Does anyone have a link to the factory Mazda alarm installation? I searched and could only come up with a bunch of people saying how easy it was - I won't know if it's easy or not because I don't even know where to start. protege5.ugly.net does not have anything as far as I have looked. I just want to install this while I have all the panels off ther car for painting. Anyone...?

it is indeed 24mm, and i still cant get the support bracket. The bolts are kind of siezed. Its pretty damn annoying. I'm gonna try again tomorrow morning. wish me luck!

When don't I have pictures? :D

I'll post them up later.

EDIT it will look just like what I already have except I repainted where Mazda neglected to paint because it used to be hidden behind that ugly gray insulation.

I have different shiny stuff but will look like the attached picture from HIN Phx 06.
