What have you done to your P5 today?

A lot of the "useless" tabs in the engine bay are just plain, tempered steel... no powder coating, galvanizing, nothing. Prone to rusting and such. Replace the clips on the air box with a whole CAI... problem solved. (alright)

Ahhhhhhh, started up just like it should today after last week's battery fill, jump & drive to recharge. Gotta keep driving it on a regular basis. Drove it like I love it....all the way to work all alone in the HOV lane for 30 miles.....no rush hr start to my days, **** that. I cruise control it on in in the 4-5 lack of traffuck. 10 yrs and I still dig this car............who's got blue gtspec v-link bars or lower tie brace for me???????????????

Transmission broke about 2-3 miles from my house friday. It was stuck in 3rd so I drove to my neighbors where we immediately began the tear down. Got my trans apart to see the 1st/3rd shift fork was broken. Located a parts trans thanks to Scratch'n'Sniff. SCMP3 was nice enough to pick it up from him and meet me at a car show in Charlotte. SCMP3 drove his gf's white 3 hatch and I drove my wife's white 3 sedan. Took the trans home, got the part I needed, rebuilt the trans, installed, and got going. WHile my car was apart, I painted my strut bar to match my VC and also painted my trans satin black

Nice score on the JDM tails JT. I know you have been looking for some time.

Damn Cam, that was one busy weekend. Makes me feel lazy since mine sat around most of the weekend. I did install a vent mount phone holder on Sunday....now the phone isn't sliding around the passenger seat while driving. Hey...sometimes it's the little things. hahahahahaha

Little things indeed. I sure got lucky this weekend. Had an extended weekend thanks to the King, and was able to get parts. Finished the car last night around 10pm.

That extra day does come in handy....I was at work though. MLK day and various others are not 'recognized' by my Company. Instead we use them as floating Holidays and close the week between Christmas and New Years. But with every other Friday off, it works out good. ;) Had that been me, the trans would still be in pieces on my garage floor. hahah

Just ordered the BT adapter for my new stereo. Shouldn't have procrastinated last week, it's now $79.99 at BestBuy vs. the $59.99 sale price I saw last week. Did get them to price matach Amazon though....$70.35. Picking it up tonight on the way home and will install tomorrow.

She started up this morning, struggled, but started.

I spent the day working on my girlfriend's car. She did a 360 on the highway this morning and slid backwards into a 10ft ditch. Luckily she's ok, but the back bumper didn't fare too well. Half of it is still in the ditch. The nice part is that it's only the bumper, absorber, and cover that took the damage. Everything else is perfectly fine.

As for the P5, I'm waiting on my error code eliminators from DDM to get here so I can get rid of this damn flicker.

I took mine for a drive. All was well :) she still pulls to the right. Alignment is on my list of things to do. I just realized how much wind noise there is when driving... Unless its just my car... Then there's one thing I noticed that wasn't very good... Over the bouncies, something on my undercarriage scrapes, or at least, I think its a scrape. Or a grind, I dont really know. And my motor mounts must all be shot because every time I shift into the next gear, there's a nice thump. I may as well go ahead and do all of them when I get around to it. Any suggestions on what to get? I dont really wanna go stock cause I kinda want to stiffen the whole car up a bit... and, sorry if this sounds like a silly reason, but if I do a motor swap, then I'd be upgrading anyways...

So yeah, im in love with my purchase :D

Perfect! :) ^

I heard the rear MM is a PITA... But thats time for another weekend :D

The rear is a pain to install. I just did a motor swap this weekend as the old motor was burning a quart of oil every 100 miles. Two ways to do it, take the motor out or drop the front cross member. That damn mount was the bane of my current existence... I have all the mounts but the trans mount, but thats on its way. Like you all my MM are done, completely ripped. The AWR mounts are sick. Adds a lot more vibration but its really only noticeable at idle. At cruising speed there is some harmonics from the engine bay, little bit droney but its not all that bad. I asked my girlfriend and she says it ant bad. Just turn the radio up and it goes away.

Well like I said, did a motor swap with a brand new factory motor. Did VTCS delete as its way easier to do with the engine out. Didnt port and polish the intake but this ant no race car so I didnt do it. Next will be better horns, sway bar, and MP3 ecu swap!

hit 162k, still going strong, 6 psi daily on the autotragic! ;) rust is starting to get the best of her, although the rear quarters are still fine???

These will also work with your KL swap. ;)

Lulz. Remove the intake mani and you've got enough room. Well, my lady hands did. Or go through the passenger side wheel well with a ton of extensions. And any excuse I can use to post this pic of my buddy fishdonotbounce swapping his out.

On topic, I'll be trailering mine to my new garage this weekend. Very excited!

For some reason the nuts holding that damn thing down were way the hell to tight. We had a two foot braker bar on it and it wouldnt come lose. Ended up sitting in the engine bay and with using my arms and legs got it to come out...

It's a tight fit with an impact and a universal joint but that's how I got mine out.
