What have you done to your P5 today?

^^^ For me too, Simon. I'm curious to see how it looks/functions.

I didn't really work on my P5 today, but did finally get a chance to start wrenching on the KL. :)

Hey guys what is the best sway bar setup for the P5? Considering the racing beat in front and progress for the rear. After adding a carbing front strut bar I got a remarkable increase in cornering ability.
Presently I am looking to upgrade the rear since the hatchback tend to have more body roll than the sedans.

I currently have a P5 with a 1.5 zlve rated at 130 hp, SRI, Tein s-tech drop springs, exedy stage 1 clutch, 15x7 oz racing rims, will post pics later.

That is a good combination. The front sway bar is a total PITA to replace. Another good combo for more neutral feel is the stock P5 front, and the MSP Racing Beat in the rear. I am currently running the P5 front and AWR 21.5mm in the rear and she likes to get sideways very easily.

oh s***, i forgot to take pics of mine for you lol
ill take some tomm....havent posted my new interior anyways

No biggie I've seen these installed before in old school corolla's.I love the way it look's and you can see alot more now without even moving your head around.Just have to pull the stock one off anyone know how lol?

lol mine is still on too, i havent figured it out yet,
my brother just pulled on his and it came off the windshield in one piece, mine is on there pretty good though
i just folded it up out of the way and hung some baby shoes on it haha

lol it comes off somehow just don't wanna pull on it and break the new window..Some sort of clip I'll get it tomorrow after work tho.

drove my car to the slopes for some early season boarding... first hard trip ( more than 45 miles) since I replaced motor and it ran fine. Course I wish I had more hp so I didnt have to down shift to 4th on every damn hill and ride it at 4k rpms+. Like i think i would only need about 30-40 more hp (ya i know like only haha) to stay in 5th the whole highway

Ordered some new rear end links, its a generic kit that you can make to whatever length, so should be here tomorrow and I'll intsall them tomorrow evening :D

Hopefully it'll put an end to the clunk I have had the last couple days :(

Between my exhaust, end links and sway bushings, mine is annoying the second it gets cold out. Not just yours or the p5's.

lol, unlucky for you blokes, we're just coming into summer :p

Well after retightening every single suspension bolt & exhaust hangers underneath the rear of the car, and only replaced all springs & struts last year, im certain its the endlinks... considering I upgraded to an AutoExe 21mm swaybar a fortnight ago...

And apart from this clunk, the only other thing thats noisy is the AutoExe SRI, but wouldnt want it any other way :D

As far as exhaust rattles, I had a rattle I couldn't find for months with my GReddy cat-back. Turned out it was the parking brake cable juuuuuust barely touching the top the the exhaust. I just bend the two brackets holding the cable up a bit and the rattle went away. But I never saw the cable touching the exhaust until I replaced it with the CorkSport. Just a heads up for anyone who gets a little rattle.

My 2 cent rattle tip: check the second catalytic converter's heat shield, mine was barely holding on and made a super annoying rattle at idle and when accelerating. Just hit it with a broom handle, if it moves around it's probably about to fall off.

heh... I couldn't even begin to find half of the fun noises my P5 makes.

Well yeah, 80% of the time it's a heat shield. I've removed all of mine looking for this mystery rattle only to find it was the e-brake cable. Just throwing that out there next time someone has a rattle. That one rattle cost me $600 for a new exhaust system because I thought it was a bad resonator in the GReddy.

I'm going to spend a whole day sometime soon to tighten everything inside and out. I got some pieces that rattle but im too lazy and just turn the music up haha

heat shields, i dont even have any heat shields on my car anymore, or a cat. converter haha

im starting to get bored with the car, i need to get a job soon so i can start changing everything

You take the wire on top of the VC push to left side of the VC and tuck the wire on top of fuel rail under it. There's no extension of the wires needed. Chris and i first did it to my motor when i had it all out. Really simple tuck and it makes it look so much better!

+1 to what Hung said. You just have to take off all the loom and you can tuck it under the fuel rail and around the VC.
Awesome! thanks guys

I have a feeling heat shields are important for some reason.... eh but its cold outside so some extra exhaust heat could be nice haha
