What have you done to your P5 today?

Seems I have come across some mis-info (typo?) in the spring buyers guide. According to the guide the Tein S-techs for the P5 lower the car 1.5"F/1.8"R. While searching for alignment specs for them (since I will be getting my first alignment since installing them) I found that the opposite is listed on Tein's site, 1.77"F/1.5"R.

Just throwing it out there so it could be changed.

so what does the flashing seatbelt/airbag indicator mean if it flashes sometimes but then turns off for a while then comes back on? I read in the book but it really didnt help

My guess is a semi-short in the wiring somewhere... Or maybe a connector not completely in place.

I've been dragging my feet and haven't ordered tires yet.....so now I've got this crazy idea that maybe I'll drop a size and go with a 15" for summer. Looking at a 195/55/15 tire and currently browsing wheels.

I just installed my Dave B polished rings, a stubby euro antenna, mp3 shifter and knob, and my mazda6 rear wiper. Hmmm, what do I want next?

If it comes out like all the other stuff you have come up with, it will be the s*** my man! Keep up the good work. Your ideas are very inspiring(humpleg) LOL

Thank you very much man. It means a lot coming from someone that makes some great stuff.

Will you have it done, or started by the Cookout @ Evan & Phen's place? Curious to see what you're cookin up...

No sadly I'm still in MD. The project will be done when I go back home. I might start laying stuff out next weekend with cardboard templates to make my workload less when I get back home but I'm not building anything until then. I can give you a heads up on what it'll look like when I get to the cookout (thumb)

Cool, I'm interested in doing this at some point down the road... Making room for air/water IC when I add boost? (humpleg)

Keep looking at this turbo kit in the garage...can't wait to put it on...got a deal on a SSAFC earlier...car is scheduled to go into the shop either Saturday or early next week for repairs...finally...then as soon as it is out the kit is going on...pretty excited...tired of riding around with an F'ed up back end...

well the shroud on my retrofits fell off in the passenger side...and i was pissed off because my driver side headlight was (center of projector) roughly 24inches high and the headlight's max adjustment was only going 21inches high...and fixed it all today.
now both light's are projecting as it should 24/26inches and the rigged the projector a lil so that the shrouds are forsure not going to fall off! what a troubling day....

what retro did you have?

and I just had to put a battery in Callie's.

leaving the A/C on blast when she turns it off combined with the stereo cranking and the 2 sets of HID's killed it. lol

So i'm highly thinking on putting a volt meter in her car

what retro did you have?

these are MattV's lights that i snagged before he sold his car but its got the sedan headlights
-mini morimoto bixenon projectors
-E46 Extended shrouds i believe
-and running the philips d2s bulbs? or d2r whatever theyre called.

and the problem is the locking or tightening nut that tightens the projector to the housing kept coming loose even though i tighten the heck out of it and even tightened the nut that held the bulb in to prevent it from loosening but it still loosened, and i found out that the housing itself was not tight enough which kinda made the projector bounce a little so i took it apart and tightened the housing adjustment screws with a new plastic grommet type thing that allows the adjustment to a smaller one which held it in alot tighter.
so far everything is doing well. i took the car out for a test drive and so far i am liking my newly fixed lights with the fixed output.

i posted about a week ago that i fixed it but it still got loose last night when i went on a really bumpy road. today it was fine :) awesome lights.

sounds like your having alot of problems with his retro....thats why i never bought one from him
that and i had no money lol

but today i put my 17's with my huge ass tires back on the car, well looks like without adjusting the coilover sleeves, my car is about to rub a shitload lol
oh well, hopefully the tires roll the fenders a little more haha

Wow, way to knock my product without even hearing my side of the story, or even knowing the full story. (jerkit)

I am a one man company who builds lights out of his garage. Yes, I admit that sometimes my products aren't 100% perfect but if you have a problem I WILL help you get it fixed and even refund some money if the end user requests it. A retrofit isn't something that comes out 100% everytime, there are so many factors that play into it. For example, if you have coilovers running on full stiffness the suspension can knock components loose from hard bumps, if the owner has upgraded engine mounts the increased vibration can do the same thing. Bottom line is that it's nearly impossible to get anything 100% perfect because every persons car is different. Different cars tailor to different needs. Sorry if I can't fulfill every single persons needs and wants.
