What have you done to your P5 today?

today i realized that it's impossible to make a decent amount of power with n/a mods... so i've started to collect parts for a turbo build. and i picked up a corksport fmic off ebay today for $125 which i though was a pretty good price.

That is a good price. Good luck to your build!

As for me I have decided to go with the sedan bumper with a molded lip. Well see how it works out lol

In Atlantic Canada, going lower than this is gonna do 2 things:

1. Turn my front bumper into a stock sedan bumper in a week.
2. Turn my exhaust midpipe into a sparking sideshow...lol.

The Skunk2 setup might not offer the smoothness of a JIC Magic or BC or Tein, but is still really responsive and tight. Slight fitment issues and adjustment inconsistencies made it a pain in the ass, but the bang for buck factor is a winner in my book.

Compare this to civics or integras with springs and decent shocks and my P5 mocks them.

Mines lower and i drive it everyday in Atlantic Canada and i have 18's as well. Lower it more and drive around you'll be surprised it not that bad. My front lip has one scrape and that was going out of my own driveway.

im thinking of doing a full n/a build on the car (have the shopping list in my head) and then to dyno to see how much i can pull from the car w/o having to go F/I starting with motor mounts in the next 2 weeks then moving from there to engine internals (i'm keeping my SRI since i now and far too lazy to jack up the car to change a CAI filter anymore... last 2 cars had to have the front tire removed to get to the filter in the wheel well and im too lazy for that)

oh yeah, im going for a sleeper look so i think i may lower on eibachs (ya know like an inch or so) but keeping stock rims

145-150. thats it. don't do it. it will take you THOUSANDS of dollars. twilight protege in aus did it. he hit that mark with full stand alone, tons of dyno time, cams, internals, etc.

^^^ Agree with Rob. It just isn't worth it. Especially if you're too lazt to change a filter. heh-heh. You should do the V6 swap or just buy a sports car and save yourself the headache and the thousands of dollars. Don't get me wrong, I love my P5, but it just isn't fast and never will be.

this is why im selling my little turbo..... putting the bigger one on... and selling the car... and buying something that is capable of being fast.... stock...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok... so im a little confused and need some INPUT....
here is the issue

at idle... ( outside air is about 80 right now... ) the car gets up to say 220ish... maybe even a little higher... the STOCK gauge says normal.... my after market gauge says the temp.... driving on the highway.... it stays around 160-180... 180 being the highest.....

I need to know.. am i freaking out that at idle my car gets to 220ish.... or is this normal? perhaps the water lines need to be re-done on my setup? im usingthe throttle body lines instead of having them on the throttle body...

could that be the entire issue?

new stuff for car that is installed....
NEW radiator with 1000 miles on it i bought it brand new
NEW thermostat 180 open temp
NEW water pump
NEW hoses
NEW water temp sensor
NEW anti freeze mixed 50/50

im thinkin im just freakin out... but im also partially thinking that maybe i need to chnge where my water lines are at and put them some where else... like maybe the turbo is heating the water and it isnt going anywhere?
