Not worth the cost IMO. I did the MSP fronts. Even those weren't really worth the cost.
Good brakes do not the size of a caliper and rotor make. In all honesty, great tires, great pads and rotors... stock size is fine. They just don't have the "baller status" that comes with a retrofit.
what? i didnt understand anything you just said lol
how many exhaust hangers are on axlebacks? When i get the mazdaspeed axleback i want to replace the hangers from the axleback with urethane ones.
If you would have left any of the other 5 sets of wheels (previously installed) on your car and left the JDP lip black.....you would have one of the most beautiful P5s on the forum.
Unfortunately...one day you're in, the next day you're out. (quote Heidi Klum)
i agree....it looks like a school bus now.(unamused)
Does my car look like a school bus?![]()
no i like yours...yours in the new "scratch's yellow p5" in my eyes(sorry scratch). id actually love to buy yours if i had the cash laying around.
Had the 2010 MS3 rims fitted this morning, will take some better photos this afternoon when I give the car a bath!![]()
So I need a stop sign???
Thanks. Would it even make a difference just replacing the ones at the axleback? I just don't want my nice new exhaust to vibrate when I start the car up.
Size definitely matters when you swap out some 17's and 18's on these cars. Factory wheels sure, factory size would be fine but you need more performance when you swap to larger wheels.
size != performance.
MS3 wheels look dope!!
That does look surprisingly good. Normally anything bigger than 17 just looks like a rolling mass of wheel with a rubber band on it on a Protege.
I think what helps it alot is that you can't see the brakes in any of the pictures. You see the car and you're like, awesome big wheels. Looks good. Then you see the brakes and you want to curse Mazda for using CD's as brake rotors.
Of course, that's the old school Protege guy in me speaking. Some of the new cats will probably disagree.
I agree, it looks great but the lack of brakes really kills it.
At least I got the MSP brakes on my MZ3 wheels so now it looks great, before it kind of sucked.
Yeah bigger brakes are really necessary for 18's to not look silly.
I think my next set of mods is MZ6 front brakes and MSP rears.
