What have you done to your P5 today?

when i did the 220 line....i arced the power and ground with my multimeter....it blew up in my face and melted the multimeter....i damn near pooed myself

Why would you powdercoat the piece that you paint to black out the headlights? It's plastic.

Anyone have any comments? I wanna make sure that ballast below the coolant overflow reservoir is safe, I'm pretty sure it will be.

it's fine. they're weatherproof.

After driving tonight, I seriously think my HID's are 8000k, they are too blue to be 6000k I'm thinking, I would take pics but it makes the light almost white.

I just don't know if it's worth dealing with waiting for the new bulbs if I were to report it to DDM.

meh. you could. i'm sure they'll send you replacements. but if blue looks good, keep em.

if you didn't want any blue, you should have just gotten 4300k dude. that sucks though.

No reason for 4300k, 5000k is supposed to be pure white, no yellow, no blue.

I just pulled my HID bulbs and clipped the tabs on the spacers...they weren't sitting straight when installed, but were angled up. Now...the headlight pattern is beautiful! Nice and even and all of the weird glare spots are gone.

I'll have to post how I mounted my HID ballasts...I used metal box corners as brackets because I didn't want to use the double stick tape. It turned out quite well I think.

you cant powdercoat plastic either....

oh and HIDs arent the same color with every bulb cuz they cant put the exact same stuff in every bulb
so even if u reported it they prob wouldnt send u a new bulb

Sprayed a couple of things today a completely different color than before. Very happy with how they turned out and I'll be putting them back on the car in the morning. Pics to come
