What have you done to your P5 today?

not that i have a pro5..but i do have a msp.. and i think my offset is 42 or 45.. and i dont rub.

What rubs on the wagon is the rear though. There is a ton of room up front. It's too bad the rear fenders are so tight to the wheel. I'm scared to get anything other than stock offset, which brings wheel options to zero or so. (unamused)

And lowered of course. (evil)

+45, lowered, no rub

although it's really really really close

I bought some Enkei RPF1 17's from a local member last weekend. Installed some fog deletes. Repaired the rust on the rear quarter panel and tailgate(Bondo is a lot harder to work with than I thought!) and ordered a JDM Sport20 badge.

Someone at the bank asked me if it was a BMW yesterday. Haha! I'll take that as a compliment.

Glad to see magnum's enkeis went to a good home. The car looks very clean man.

Thanks man, I certainly plan on keeping it clean and simple. MagnumP5 was a great seller and really nice guy. I'm really happy with the wheels. They stick like crazy glue around the bends.

I bet it does man. Can't wait to see the car in person at the BBQ (thumb)

On another note, I decided to go with the stock MSP setup over my current turbo setup. The turbo and everything is up for sale now and I'm hoping it goes to a good home. I can't wait til install day!!!

replaced my speakers all around with 150watt kenwoods in the front and some 100watt pioneers i had laying around underneath my bed. the sound difference is amazing when compared with those bad 25watt speakers mazda put in. was kind of a pain in the ass cause the kenwoods were 6'' so i had to custom fabricate some mounts for them out of 16 gauge steel. they fit in their nicely now though. also gave her a wash and a wax.

Picked up parts for new motor...found a place with the oil pump as well, but the number he gave me was for something that wasn't the dealership...I just need to google search them I am sure...

i rolled all 4 of my fenders.
im running 17x7 +12 and 17x8 +34 barely rubs.

what would rolling hurt though? i used a rubber hammer and took my time and only had one TINY crack on the RR 1/4 panel. cant even see it though. (i missed on one hit ha ha)

Commute home last night was interesting. I had to stop four times to let the engine cool down and added water twice.

The second time I stopped I noticed that there was luke warm air blowing out of the vents and the fan had stopped running. Hot air started blowing after I started running again but the fan never kicked back on (thinking a fuse/relay)?

And the last time I stopped and turned off the engine I hear three clunking (for lack of a better word) sounds coming from the bay. Would this be because the water pump seized????

Check the belts Jeff. If the pump had seized it would be burning a belt.

Check your oil to see if the head gasket has a leak, oil will be milky.

Also check and see if the raditor fan is working. Where is the water going? Do you see a leak around the hoses?

Thanks Bruce....I suspect the belts are somewhat loose and will be checking them today as well.

The oil was low Monday when I checked and looked ok on the dipstick but was a light brown when wiped on a towel. I changed the oil when I got home that night and have noticed no smoke coming from the exhaust.

Up until somepoint last night the fan was working??? Hoses look to be ok and the only place I've noticed coolant is on the ds of the bay where it is dumping out of the overflow bottle. There have been no puddles or signs of a leak at the parking lot at work or in my driveway.

New t-stat, rad cap and hoses showed up yesterday and will be installed today along with a Hayden tranny cooler. :D

The noise startled me and I am just hoping I didn't do more damage.....

How's the temp gauge been looking? If it's dumping out of the overflow, chances are the water pump is shot. What happens is the water around the engine simply sits there in the water jacket in the block and then boils through the system. It *may* be the rad cap, but I wouldn't count on it.

Good luck

Temp. gauge has been going bonkers all week. 15 miles into my 20 mile commute is when it starts to creep upwards and up until yesterday I was able to 'control' it by running the heat on 4 and taking backroads where I could take my time and slow down if need be.

I hope you are right when you say *may*. lol Otherwise I'll park it for the week and order everything needed to install the water pump and change the timing belt while I'm at it.
