Eh...the guy at the machine shop hasn't finished the valve job yet...or started it...he said it is now hopefully ready on Friday...but at least me and the guy putting it back on are off then and Saturday...

that's good....i'll be keeping my fingers crossed.....so i might have missed it....but was it just a blown head gasket causing your problems?

So far we know for sure that it was AT LEAST a blown headgasket and a warped head...we have gotten the head leveled and have a new headgasket/headstuds that we ordered along with the actual leveling of the head...

We will not know if there is anything else wrong until we try this out and see how it goes...I still just find it hard to believe that a headgasket blew during shipping and a head got warped...

Like I said before...this motor was said to come out of a car that was running before it was taken out with zero problems...

yeah, there's no way to 'blow' a head gasket just by shipping it. Sounds like someone's givin you the raw deal. Sorry man.

ever hear anything back on that?

Yea...I have...he said that it was working when he sent it and that it never had any problems with it...I pretty much just told him that it at minimum had a blown headgasket and warped head and that I would let him know after we got the fixed head back on whether or not it was the end to the problems...

Exactly what I was thinking...
