What have you done to your P5 today?

MSP struts, since the spring perch height is different, will make the rear stand higher. That's why a P5 sags in the rear when you put MSP springs on any other strut. Plus I don't think the P5 rear end links will line up right with the MSP struts.

^If you are doing the install yourself, I suggest doing both at the same time... I had a b****-of-a-time with my stock struts and springs. If I were to do it all over again, I'd swap the package deal...

Thanks for the advice, Breeegz. I'm not quite sure if I want to do a lot of mods to my car though. I keep going back and forth with this.

I'm getting my MSP exhaust soon and my HID's so I'm a bit giddy about that :).

Actually, we've got the MSP struts on the P5 with P5 Eibachs. Handling is great, ride is great, stance looks great.

I think spring fit (wagon vs. sedan) is more important than strut fit.

I bit the bullet and went all the way to coilovers. I personally love them (even on the daily driver) but they're not for everyone. Though I have it set up relatively tame at the moment (you can still can see the top of the sidewall, and the ride isn't punching me in the kidneys), I love having the option to go totally agressive whenever I feel like it, and maybe some day I'll drop it another inch just for the kicks.

I've also been driving the P5 in several inches of snow... man is it fun as long as the idiots aren't in the way... some people really should just stay home in real weather... I'm cautious enough I'm never near their sliding insanity, but I could get everywhere a hell of a lot faster if they weren't driving at 5 miles an hour and somehow still locking up all four corners... welcome to the Pacific Northwest, I guess.

And I installed Dave B Rings tonight in 19 degree weather (okay, the ring install was done inside, but had to pull the guage cluster and reinstall when done in the cold)... no pics yet, but what can I say: they're Dave B Rings... we all know what they look like, and most of us love 'em. I'm certainly pleased as punch and pie...

My wife even likes them, which is good because I have another set under the tree for her LS...

I've done a couple springs with MSP struts and have found the perches to not line up well with the springs at all. Have you had any problems like that? Got a pic of the P5?

Also intrested to see Eibach's on MSP struts. I can pick up a set of those cheaper than new Blues

Just got my Mazdaspeed axleback right now! Taking it to the shop to get it installed because I don't have jackstands or the right tools yet :(

EDIT: INSTALLED

LOVE IT! It's funny how dinky the stock muffler looks compared to this.

haha looks good. wish i had money i wouldve gotten the Tanabe Medalion Touring axleback and do custom 2.5 piping.
its alot quieter than this one, but just a wee bit louder than the RB catback

I'm actually quite pleased with the deep tone of this exhaust. It's not even that loud for me.

Random: I'm suddenly craving a Monster right now...

Anywho, since I plan on lowering my car with Pro-kit springs, I'm wondering what kind of tires would fit. I'm shooting for 205/45R17's. Would I have to roll my fenders for these?

no your fine.

and mazdaspeed seems to be a little too loud for me now. not annoying but wishing it was a little quiter.

Hey, I know that tread pattern, lol. Gitcha some tiny hose clamps on the muffler hanger stalks on the inside of each rubber hanger to keep it centered in the bumper cutout.

Haha Nexen tires.

I noticed the same thing that it's not centered. I'm thinking about getting some new exhaust hangers then ziptying them, so hopefully that'll straighten it out.

30 more cm ( 10 inches) of snow here! loads of e-brake fun in the streets! But god is she dirty now... -15 celsius so I can't do anything about it right now
