What have you done to your MSP today?

And went to get my 03.5 lip... IT WAS PAINTED THE WRONG COLOR!!! It was like a Honda Fit orange... They're redoing it Monday...

Ok, so opinion time. I want to upgrade the HU in the MSP to something with Bluetooth streaming and Pandora controls. So I'm at a crossroads here. Do I go single din or double din.

Here are the three I'm looking at:

Single din:
Kenwood: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113BT752HD/Kenwood-KDC-BT752HD.html?tp=5684

Alpine:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500CDE135B/Alpine-CDE-135BT.html?tp=5684

Double: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158XAV64BT/Sony-XAV-64BT.html?tp=5684

They both compare pretty closely, the kenwood looks to have better sound qualities. I guess the main thing with double din is looks and touch screen but at almost double the price is it worth it?

Thoughts?

And if the Sony had Nav it would be a no brainer but the cheapest nav unit I can find that's good is about $550...

having a double din is nice, but I did miss having the pocket

i been having this problem for a while. new belts. etc and still :/

There have been a lot of discussions of squeaking belts in this forum over the years... I had the same problem, even with new Gates belts. So I did what others had done to solve the problem; I ponied up the cash for OEM Mazda belts and guess what?.... no more squeaks. Why they work when others don't? I have no idea.

Of course this assumes that the squeaking is actually from the belt(s) and not from idler pulley bearing, for example.

I'll get the wheels bored out then

wouldn't that make the exhaust tip come up a little short?

A router works great and it saves tons of money if you already have one.

Just get a exhaust shop to extend it should be that expensive.

this is what i been thinking. but dont want to replace alt and then thats not it lol

The MSP will be back on the road as soon as my new driver side axle gets here!!!! THANK GAWD!

SSAFC is now installed. I had to adjust a wire for the ignition because she didn't want to start up the first time around. Kinda scared me, but she is good to go.

Anyone know what I hook the wideband up to when the SSAFC doesn't have the orange input 0-5V wires? I need to hook up the AEM UEGO wideband and don't know what to hook the input wire to.

same as the exhaust mani bolts. good to know.

Took the day off work, plan for the day:
1. switch back to OEM driver's side motor mount
2. switch back to OEM injectors
3. figure out fixing vac leak
4. find a way to make the belts stop randomly screetching
5. get wife's approval on noise level

#5 might be the easiest, she was amazed at how changing only the passenger side effected it.

1. done
2. done
3. vac leak is where the intake mani meets the head, for a temp quick fix I added silicone gasket maker around the edges where I could. Doubt it will help.
4. Not much I can do here, the really only screetch when the idle dips like the car is going to die and then revs up. I believe this is cause by my vac leak.
5. she's on her way but I'm happy with the results.

V1's dont have the orange wires and cant data log. But they stopped making those years ago. If you bought one new, it should be a V2.

So drove the car for a few miles... Everything is okay as of right now.

awesome that's good to hear

I had ****** with my tune on the SSAFC like an hour before the differential went out and hadn't been able to drive it obviously, but damn it, I wish I'd saved that tune... Too rich!
