What have you done to your MSP today?

she got towed to a shop to get checked out. after watching RE4! went to my car and tried to crank it up. it would start for about 1/2 sec then just die. sooo hopefully they dont slap me with a Huge bill when i take her out.

excited to get my lip, front bumper, rear bumper, and hood resprayed! Also getting the dent/scratch fixed on rear quarter panel. Take it in oct. 1, cant wait

well bad news from local shop. water in cylinders 2,3,4. when spark plugs removed they said it looked like mini gysers. HEad's coming off tomorrow so hopefully all i need is new headgaskets... worse case they told me is rebuild....

not cheap to rebuild but your pretty much there

It seams like in the lower 100k's these motors go POP! Haha

But ordered couplers and piping for a intake for the gt30 muhahha

Looks to be pretty straight and largely stock (except for the cold air intake and the stereo head unit, and the suspension, which has been lowered). Its hard to know from the pics if it was heavily modded and subsequently put back to stock, or if its always been equipped as it is now and babied by the previous owner. In any case, even in Canadian dollars the price is probably a little high for as many miles as it has. I'm not up on the current exchange rate, but I'd put a clean, well-maintained MSP with those miles closer to $7500 USD as a top-end figure; maybe eight grand if it is near mint condition. The reality, of course, is that the car ends up beiing worth exactly what the highest bidder is willing to pay for it, and dependent upon how desperate the current owner is to get it sold. :-)

Ya it looks pretty clean, and I'd be changing out the head unit anyway. But unfortunately that price isn't all that high, protege seem to have a good resale value around here. People are asking 7500 or more for p5's and there are plenty of those.

If thats the case, I should take mine up there to sell.... its very clean and has less than 45,000 miles on it. Maybe I could get 12,000 CAD!

Go for it haha, there is one for sale in Calgary asking 11000 and i think it is fairly stock. It sucks but that's just what the prices are here. And there are only 2 spicy's in my city and I think 3 or 4 msp in total.

just had a REALLY good test of my braking/traction.

City bus was stopped in the left lane a block behind a stoplight (very short block), and a girl 7ish year old girl ran out from the median. I was in the right lane, grabbed an entire foot full of brake (ABS is non-functional right now) and stopped in time for her to hit the left front fender. I think she put her hands on the hood and whatever jacket she was wearing may have scratched the fender a bit. She ran back to the median where a little boy still was, so I assume she's fine but... I'm just glad it wasn't as bad as it good have been.

So, a thank you goes out to:
EBC Brakes
Hankook Tires
Tripoint Motorsports

(For those who may ask, no, I didn't stop. Maybe I should have, though I definitely wouldn't call it a hit and run, so I called the PD and left a statement of what happened with my contact info.)

Wow. Glad that you were able to stop in time. I bet your heart was RACING after that. Good call on notifying the PD.

Damn wagon, thank God you could stop. I had to slam on my brakes yesterday because of some idiot in a huge Dodge. I'm glad I just put new tires and brakes all around on my car as well.
Honestly that little girl will probably wake up tomorrow and not remember a thing.
