What have you done to your MSP today?

I'd go with Gorilla if you don't have to deal with rust. No, I don't have any pictures of the lugs installed. The look like every other black spline drive lug, but weigh like 2 grams a piece. One year with them on and other than some paint being scraped off from the key (I was warned this would happen) they still look great.

a way to avoid that is to rub some vaseline or other petroleum jelly on the key and it keeps it from scratching as bad. then just use a cloth to clean the vaseline off
 
Ya, I don't like it. I usually flip a coin, whether to make posts in the MP3 "what have you done today" or the general Protege "What have you done today"...
if its something non-MSP related I usually do. but I do it so that section has something other than 16 year olds with silver LX's that they put hideous body kits on going on...

um... no... I wouldn't ever be an "us" with MP3 owners...
 
So which has a better coating? Muteki's or dorman's? I like the longer style but I do not want to have to buy more because the coating failed. I do not use impacts either just normal use from rotating them.

IMHO, the Muteki's have the better coating. But the reality is that any color-coated lugnut is going to get nicked up over time from putting a socket on them. Thats why I can't make sense of spending a bunch of money on them. My program is buy them cheap, use 'em til their appearance bothers me, then replace them again. My Dormans are well machined so they'll stay put and won't f' up the threads on my wheel lugs and only cost me $25 a set with locks, so I can rationalize replacing them when the time comes.

Where did you get them at? I know you said closeout but it is worth a shot for half the price....

got the wheels not too long ago and had them powder coated right away, its a crappy cell pic, will take some with my camera later.

will be painting the the calipers black also.
 
intake mani - vac block - check valve - brake booster

technically ideally you should have another T from the other side of the check valve to run your WGA because then it wouldn't see boost...

ya that's what I thought, I had done it a few times over and read about it a bunch of times, but anyways why would you wanna run another T after the valve to your WGA? I don't want it to boost all the way to 15psi and go boom lol..?

ugh... I'm thinking backwards... nevermind that...

you'd actually want to run the WGA off of the intercooler piping ideally, which would be the OPPOSITE.

forgive me... I already have 40 hours in this week... so I'm a little scatter brained.
 
Ok, help me out here. I've been searching trying to find a direct answer, because I've seen & heard conflicting info. I assume one of you can help me out with this.

Aside from the oval vs. normal tips, is there any difference in the diameters or bends in the MP3, MSP, & MSP 03.5 exhausts? Particularly, I'm concerned with the diameters of the cat-back portions. Thanks buddies. (hi)

I think the 03.5 is a slightly different muffler, same diameter and all, but the 03 and the MP3 are pretty much identical.

Ya, 03.5 has the oval muffler tip. So they all have the same size piping? Is it 2.25"? I've heard the MP3 has 1.75" b4. But I thought all 3 had generally the same as well... (huh)

pretty sure the 03 axelback was the same Racing Beat axelback as the MP3... not certian, but pretty sure..
